Progress is already visible. I've bent at the knees much more, slowed down my footwork, and threw a PB 755 series over lunch today. Balance and timing were really helped by lowering my CG and being more deliberate in my footwork. I'll post another video that shows these changes when I get a chance. Thanks for the inputs, gents!

Uhem, gents and Erin.
And, I think Erin said what she meant in reverse order. Jock, it's good having you monitor the board for us. So, when we awake, everything is clear.

I don't post very much, Dennis. I'm not really a specialiste at this bowling thing but I'm getting better. I resarted bowling in 2005 after a 15 year layoff and, as you did Dennis, I had to re-learn everything as it had changed soooo much. I've gotten back to around a 210 average at the moment so that's fine for me, as I was around 211 when I stopped.
Looking at these boards has helped me immensly so it's become one of the first things that I do each day.

Dennis- First, your suggestion to brush across my slide shoe from side to side helped alot so thanks for that. Saying my hand comes out the side of the ball, do you mean I should be more up the back? I know that's kind of basic, but that's how ignorant I am. Cheers!

Chubbs, To me, it seemed that you are turning your hand in the last of the downswing instead of at the release. That is too early. Your hand comes out on the side of the ball and continues rotating as your arm crosses in front of you. It makes you pull the ball.
Come straight out of the ball, thumb at 1 o'clock, then as the thumb is out, move the fingers from 6 o'clock to 4 o'clock. Your fingers are at 3 o'clock before you release the ball. Turn your hand after your thumb is out.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LferXYObO9ADennis- I ran out of camera battery right after this, but the next ball I was able to delay my hand coming around the side like you're talking about and I saw a huge difference in the reaction. The ball went deeper, two boards further to the right, and still recovered for 10 in the pit. I can feel the difference between the two releases now so I know when I screw it up, which I think is a good sign. Follow-through is still a little pull-ish, but I think that's slowly getting better as well. Anything else you see? Coach Jim- I can actually hold my finish position now for a count or two, which is a marked improvement. Couldn't get anybody to hold the camera for a side view, so I'll keep trying. Anything else? Thanks for all the inputs, gents. It's nice to be able to practice more constructively!

No surprises there at all, thanks Jim. Trying to get my left foot more underneath me at the finish but obviously I'm not there yet. Will continue to work all the stuff mentioned!
