i am in the uk and bowl in a sunday trio's
the problem is we have two people on the same average but have different handycaps?
is this possible because the man doing the averages is a county presedent so he cant be wrong can he!
if antone can help me out on this because i am going to see him this sunday

The only thing I can think of, is one of them bowled better in the league last year than they are this year. Some leagues make you use last years average if your average this year is worse. Most that have this rule give you a 10 pin allowance though.

If one is a man, the other a woman, the handicap may be based on a different level, i.e, 90% of 200 for the woman, 90%of 220 for the man. Other than that, I would check into it.

If they started at different times. . .

Most leagues have a minimum number of games needed to establish your average/handicap for the league. I went 21 games in my Fri night league before they adjusted my handicap to match my new average (unfortunately for me, HC went DOWN. . .oh well 8)

But that might be an explanation.
