Are you taking a break from bowling on spring and summer? Yea or Nay? Or only practice?

i like to bowl as often as i can, i am starting two spring leauges [actually have started, and 1 week left of winter], but with good weather comes a lot of outdoor work around the house, so after the short spring leauges, bowling will be confined to once a week during lunch, and on rainy weekends.

My summer plans for bowling are on hold. I normally do one league and starting last year I started doing the AMF Summer Doubles Tour as much as my money allows. I also practice some outside of that. Right now I'm not sure what will happen.

I bowl as much or more then I do in the fall/winter season. Mainly because bowling is a huge part of my life and how I earn a living, plus if I take even a couple weeks off, it takes me too long to get back into the swing of things again. And the frustration level of trying to get back to a certain level of expectation after 12 weeks of lay off, is not worth NOT bowling to keep that level up to par. So I bowl summer too.

Bowling is just like other sports. If you are more serious, you do it all year long. Some sports, like soccer move from outdoors to indoors. Baseball has exercises and indoor practice arenas over the winter. Basketball is played in the gym all year. So, why stop bowling?

So many bowlers take the summer off. And, they have this roller coaster average where they are lower in Sept and higher in April. Bowling through the Summer levels that, and possibly shows a gradual increase in average.

My Summer break is going from 3 leagues to 1. In the Summer I don't bowl on weekends so I can take trips. I'll practice still but with my job and my girlfriend's health bowling is on the back burner. My shoulder could use the rest too. I need a lighter duty job I got beat up pretty good the last 2 years I'm tired of bowling through pain.

Silent Mike, we now have 3 months. I hope things turn around for you in that time.
Good luck, and good bowling.

I'm not sure, I may do an Adult/child league with my son. That may be the only league I do this summer.

Yeah adult/youth league most likely. With the possibility of a PBA Exp. League as well. Two leagues on Sunday's lol.
