Has anyone here ever won any trophies or awards for bowling? If so, what was your score and were you on a league?
Come and be a part of the warmth and friendship!

Oh ****'s yeah. The good old days.

From 4th grade - 6th grade leagues (1988 - 1990) I received a "participant" trophy. In '90 I received a first place trophy. "Thunder Bolts" was the team name (4 guys) and I had an average of 105?

In 2000, I was part of another 4 man team, in a fun cruise league. The name was pretty ridiculous. =( We didn't place, but I earned the "Most Improved Bowler" trophy. I started learning how to use a fingertipped ball at the beginning of the league. I jumped about 37 points in average - 109 > 146.

Everything I have so far as a junior...

Spin Alley - poorly maintained house, never bowling there again
1999-2000 Monday Juniors Spin Alley - Participation Award
1999-2000 Monday Juniors Spin Alley - Team First Place (heh, our team was older than every other team by at least 2 years (we were all 14/15), had we known this was a league for small kids, we wouldn't have done it)

Majestic Lanes - Hackers renamed to Hot Shots due to someones parents request, Saturday Morning league.. Junior Pros is a Monday night league, all individual, bowl 2 games, change lanes/opponent, 2 more. Stepladder final, 3rd highest series plays 2nd highest, winner bowls 1st, top doesn't have to pay the next week. Summer Practice league we get 12 free games a week, absolutely no clue why we get awards.
2000-2001 "Hackers" League - Personal Best - 221 (The touchy-feely award)
2001-2002 "Hackers" League - Personal Best - 212
2002-2003 "Hot Shots" League - Personal Best - 232
2002-2003 "Hot Shots" League - Most Improved - +20.328 pins
2002-2003 "Hot Shots" League - Team 1st Place
2002-2003 Junior Weekly Winner Tournament - 3rd Place
2002-2003 Junior Pros League - Personal Best - 204
2002-2003 Junior Pros League - League Champion
Summer 2003 Junior Practice - Personal High Scratch Series - 629
Summer 2003 Junior Practice - Personal High Game Scratch - 231

Fall Quarter 2003 - Edmonds Community College - High Average - 195

And probably the only thing that means anything to me, which we got a plaque for,
2002 Washington State Tournament - Trios - First Place

HMMM...let me see

At some point early on in my boweling I won most improved average. I have gotten that lovely watch for 100 pins over my average in the early 90's, city doubles champ around 95 or 96, and my 700 patch also around 95 or 96

Yeah.....I've got some tokens of past successes.

Trophy from the Holiday Singles Tournament when I was 15 or 16, won my division by default, only bowler in that division.

ABC 700 award back in 1/81, my glory days, for a 743 set, 275, 222, 246. Missed a $300 check by 7 pins.

Trophy for high average, summer league, 1983 or 84.

Trophy for team award, same summer league.

League Champion Patch, Friday Men's Invitational, Timonium, MD, in 1988 I think. Won the league in a best of 3 playoff during rock and bowl, I'll never forget it!
I love this house !
