I noticed that Turner727 was from KCMO.
Where is the best lanes at in KC and where or what leagues would a beginner/family look into?
Is any one else here from Kansas City also?
If so where do you bowl?
Thanks in Advance!

I don't know about that, I'm still trying to figure it out.

I like King Louie, myself. Although they go by AMF West now. They're in OP, 88th & Metcalf.

NKC Pro Bowl looks pretty nice, too. I haven't bowled there yet. They're AMF too.

My son bowls at Mission Bowl, and they're okay. They're on Martway, near Nall in Mission.

Bowled at Incredibowl, way back when. Don't remember what they were like.

The rest of the centers, I don't know. My kids did bowl a couple games at Park Lanes on Renner Road, by Midland, once, but it was so long ago I don't remember anything about the place.

But I'll tell you this. AMF West has the best hamburgers! I haven't had a burger this good in a while. . . Too bad they server Coke. I prefer pepsi myself. But Cherry coke is good, too.

Those burger up at old King Louie rock!
I live practicaly behind the alley that closed at Ranchmart. I was bummed. I was just bowling there last winter ( we usually went to amf west). Maybe that is why the ranchmart lanes closed, AMF west is much nicer place. Still im pretty bummed out that the alley less then 1/2 a mile away closes on me. crying

edit: Turner have you ever been coached here in KC? And if so, who would you recommend?
Thanks in advance.

No, I have not been coached. If I was looking for a coach, I'd ask around the desk people and pro shops. One of the guys who coached me when I was a kid (and he was a great coach) opened his own Pro Shop. . .so I always think of asking there.

Did you know Park Lanes in Lenexa is owned by the son of one of the Ranchmart guys? I don't remember which one. He used to manage one of the ranch bowls, and decided he wanted to own one. He opened Park Lanes.

I'll keep my ears open, and if I find out about a coach I'll let you know.
