LOL That's too funny Eraser! As long as you do have a black cat I guess it's all good. Then you might have to wonder if glasses are the only thing you need :-P. I couldn't wear glasses when I'd bowl before, though now that my approach is more correct it might be a different story. I always had trouble getting the blurred vision at release from the top view of my glasses. Though I prefer contacts so I can wear my sunglasses.

Scott, I am having a tough time this year, correcting problems I developed over the summer. I am 15 pins under last year's average. If I can keep this up, it is just a matter of time before someone claims that I am sandbagging.

I've had mixed results with taking naps before bowling, a few times were good, a few times mediocre and a few times I just plain out stunk the place up.

As for the glasses issue with bowling. I look at my target from the moment I get set until after the ball passes it, I've never had a problem with it being blurred at the top. As for sunglasses, I just get a pair of prescriptions. I've thought about looking into contacts, but being on a dirty, dusty job site all day makes me weary of getting them. I'd like them so I could get regular sunglasses that wrap around a little more.

Yeah my biggest goal this year is most improved mens! As bad as we're doing with team it would be nice to get a little extra for that effort lol. I'm thinking the +21 pins to my average builds a strong case for said effort!

I never look at my target. I look at my release point at the foul line. I know that if I don't pull the ball, and keep proper form, the ball is going to go where I want it to. Then it's a matter of reading ball reaction, and adjusting to the lane conditions.

The only time I do look downlane is when I'm picking corner pins.

I'm with you too Eraser i think i was taking a nap tonight too smile

Thursday Night League. The lanes were bit messed up tonight. It seems no one on my pair had a terrific night or good night. Me my head was in the game and i just could find a line or ball that i could stay with consitently.

First Game i changed ball three times. I could find one that would stay on the right side of the head pin. One top that i had three opens and the tenth made a move inside and found some light and pnch out in the 10th for a 172. Second game i started off good was marking but play that inside line which i dont play that often made it a little hard to be consitent if i could hit my mark and trust the ball was going to come back i had success but i had some trust issues and start pulling it. I choped the 6-10 in the 9th frame and missed a 5 pin in he 10th for awful 175. Last game i could keep consitent enough and on top that i had four open frame of splits and just couldnt recover 169.

So a 172-175-169=516 not a very good night. It was one of those nights i was off. Ohh well there always next week.

Team wise we lost first two games. One second and total pins for 3 pts out of 7. Tied for second so we may have droped a couple of place but we shall see.

On Side Note:
My mom been have trouble with her bowling hand cause arthritis in her fingers. Stoped by Pro Shop and he suggested coventional grips instead of fingertips and maybe droop1 pound or two. So i bought her a Tornado 11 pounds. She bowled tonigth and shot a 165-108-146= 419 she bowled 5 pins above her average and about 50 or 60 pins better than she bowled last time she bowled because last time she bowled she kept dropping the ball cause she was in pain too much. Thanks CoachJim for the suggestions!

Bad night tonight, just couldn't control my armswing and thus my speed as well.

Shot 204-192-160 for a 556 series.

Well below what I've been averaging for the past 2 months or so.

Just one of those nights I'll try to forget.
