OK, we've had the topics of first 600, 700 and 800 and also for highest series, so I say let's do one for games, but please let's keep it to the non-300 bowlers out there (I know there are a few).

My highest game (sanctioned) is a 279. I left a 4 pin mad in the 8th, and threw 3 absolutely horrible shots in the 10th, which of course I carried.
My highest non-sanctioned game (but bowled under league conditions) was a 283, bowling a pot game. I had 10 nice strikes, but the 11th shot I tugged and left the 4-7-9-10. I tried to make the spare, and only picked out the 4 pin. eek

Hi Skipper,

My high , a 278, came during a coachs traveling league, at a house I had never bowled in.

Got the first 7 frames, then rushed the line in the 8th, left the 1 and 2 pins, (I'm a lefty). Then finished with only one sloppy strike. Really felt like I was in the zone.

Funny thing, the league secretary forgot to turn in the sanction, so I never did get my 100 pins over average watch. For 2 years I was assured that "the check was in the mail", before some one told me the truth. Believe me I learned a lesson on that one.

Things have a way of working out. I recently shot a 268 durning the 1st night of a new league. That was 108 pins over my last years book average, which according to the secretary is what they would use in this situation.

Lon

I hope you get your watch. I had a triplicate award about 7 years ago that my league secretary never put me in for, but I was able to secure a patch from our association secretary smile - he even asked me if I wanted the older one or the newer one. (Of course I took the older one)

To any bowler that attains an award score: BE ON YOUR LEAGUE SECRETARY AND MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR DUE!

Many secretaries (it seems from what I have read on some of the message boards) don't put in for ABC awards for their bowlers, and that's a damn shame.

Well guys my high game to date is a 276. I ripped two beauties in 1&2, the left the solid 10 in the third after converting that trouble maker I had 8 in a row and pulled for 7 on the last shot. So it goes!!! Our center boasts 1 female who has a 300. I am trying to be the next!!! Keep your fingers crossed for me!!!

My high sanction game is 289 (783 series), solid 9 pin, can you say ouch!! My highest non sanction game was 299 and that came in what they call Shot in the dark. Where all the lights in the house are off but the pin deck lights, I left a solid ringing 10pin, I guess I should bowl more often with the lights off!!

I had a 245 in my sport condition league with only 1 brooklyn, a 1/, and a 5 count on the fill ball. You could say there was a little "out-of-bounds" to the right. Proud of that one.

Hows this - front 11 then flush 9 pin - well i think that theres enough info there for that one. My goal though is to shoot 292 - I am informed that of all sancioned games its the only score that hasn't been shot. That's what I've heard at least - so thats my goal. I don't think it'll be done by me though. lol

My high is a 298 I bowled back in '95 three days after Christmas. Funny thing was I had just gotten brand new shoes for Christmas and this was the first time I was bowling on them. I was sliding all over the place in the warm-ups and then on the very first shot of the first game I fouled because I slipped and slid 5 feet down the lane. I finished with a 192. The next game out, I started off with the first 4 and then had to use the bathroom. But, not wanting to jinx myself, I made a deal with myself that I wouldn't go until I missed. Well, by the 12th frame, I hadn't missed, and I don't remember how bad I had to go!

Funny thing is, the 10th shot came in high, but tripped out the 4 and the 9, the 11th shot went brooklyn, and the 12th and final shot was one of the best looking shots of the game until the 6 boxed around the 10 (left it shaking) and the 7 got hit by something else and still stood (shaking). It was as funny as it was heartbraking. I finished the 3rd game with a 203 for a nice 693. I could almost taste that 700, which would have been my first.

Hate to miss your first 300 by leaving a pocket 7-10, with BOTH pins wobling....

My highest game is a 299. Left a ten pin on the last shot. What is really frustrating though is I also have a 297, 289, 290, and a truck load of 279 games. I have left various pins in these games including the whole back row. Oh well, some day.... [censored]

Well had my high game last month in a handicap tournament. Opened the tournament with 11 in a row then got the 12th a little wide for a 296 left the 1-2-4-8. Was a little nerveous on the 12th ball. Will get them all next time. Previous high game was a 269.
