I have a few heart issues myself...bad gene pool I guess...LOL.
I just had a stress test on Monday and I find out the results on the 29th. I think everything will be ok, I pretty much waltzed through the actual treadmill part of the test, but its the pictures they take that matters. I had a by-pass 5 years or so ago, and they have to check everything out every couple of years.
I'm sure everything will be ok...but the waiting for the results is a little unerving...but I guess if something was wrong or did'nt look quite right the Doc's would call...right? smirk

Oh wow - see, then you know what I am talking about. Yep, the waiting is hard but I think they would definitely call sooner if something concerned them.

Keep me posted :-)

Adjusting or Changing ball that what usally get me in trouble. I either adjust too little and change ball quickly or adjust too much and dont change ball fast enough.

Had a curious league night yesterday. I was pretty lined up and had a decent amount of room, I ended up going 248, 238, 225, for a 711 with no opens. My teammates had trouble finding a line though, and none of them ended up bowling over average for the night, and unfortunately, we only won 1 of 3 games. We did have a bunch of fun though and had a lot of good laughs, which is what it is all about anyway.

Today the oil is very burtal.

Game 1: 154

I bowl okay but the ball doesn't hook on tough oil.

Game 2: 125

That game is no good because few chopped and 3 splits.

Game 3: 134

Again it no good. Few chopped and 2 splits. Never strike until 10th frame.

Total:- 413

Whew I made 2nd 400s.

Saturday night league was fun, even if my scores didn't completely show it. I shot a 570 set with games of 164, 224 and 182, with only the 224 game being above my 194 average. I started running up the 6 board with my normal release that gives a decent amount of side roll. The first game I had four opens two splits a 2-7 and 4-6-7, and pulled a 4 pin and I'm still not sure what happened on the 6 pin. My swing just didn't feel right on that shot and the ball didn't feel right coming off the hand. I also had a gutterball on a turkey but I cleaned that mess up, just didn't release it cleanly and it went right. The lanes started to change, which I find this pair (47-48, the end pair) does faster than the others and my ball started to take off. I try moving in a little and just couldn't get the ball to get back solid. I did something a little different starting the second game and strike and then having slide issues on the second and third frame loose leverage and never get back to the pocket. I move back right and add a little speed that helped some and then decide to try to come more up the back of the ball and run off a 5 bagger that would have been the last 6 if the 10 pin would have fell on the fill ball. I had one open that game a pulled 4 pin again. The third game I started out good, going strike, 9/ and strike and then things went down hill. I made bad shots and had some major overreactions at times, left a 4-9 split, missed a 3 pin wide right just didn't line up and aim correct, a 7 pin that was wide right but great for a 4 pin and putting the ball in the gutter going after the 6-10. I was able to make it look like I knew what I was doing by throwing a turkey in the ninth and first two in the tenth before leaving a 5 pin when I rotated early and let the ball slide out right a little. That was six strikes that game, I had seven the game before but covered most of the spares. Another case of make your spares. All those easy spares would have put me a good bit over 600. We won 3 of 4 points, having lost the first game by over 100 but making the bulk of it up the second game and the rest of it and then some in the third to take total.

The Sunday league I previously mentioned is happening, just not with me. Five doubles teams just didn't feel worth it too me. Several teams backed out when there wasn't going to be at least ten. I would have settled with seven or eight.

Today I show up for the Monday mens league and see the guy there that I'm suppose to be bowling for and thinking I might not be able to. Well it turns out he came because his father who is on the team broke ,I think thats what they said, his collar bone and did something to his shoulder, so he was there to make a full team. The first game I shoot a 172. I took my Fury and Super Carbide but after not having any success with the Carbide I try to stick with my Purple Ogre. I just couldn't get it solid in the pocket. The four times I did, I had three strikes and a ten pin. I keep hitting light with the ball still skidding as I just couldn't throw the ball on the line that I wanted to consistently. I had two opens a 5 pin that on the attempt I tried to throw it hard instead of letting the ball do its job and held on to it missing well left. I also had a 2-10 split that I went for the 10 pin, knowing if I tried to go for the both I would probably miss them entirely. Only three strikes, none of them together and a bunch of 7 and eight counts killed the score. I decide to change to the Fury for the second game. It runs the line great hits a little high but explodes the pins sending a messenger into the 4. I don't really string strikes but I'm making spares, mainly 9 counts, and the majority of them are 10 pins. Which I cover all of them, but end up with one open that game a 3-6-10 of which I only get the 6-10, I killed the hook a little too much, just missing the 3. Of course this is in the tenth frame, like the missed 5 pin in the first game. I finish out with a 189, doubling and a 9 count on the fill. That open broke up two sets of doubles. Third game I completely throw a bad ball trying to force it missing the head pin left leaving the 1-3-8 which I cover. I tell myself let the ball just swing don't try to swing it and I get in the pocket most of the time I think only not twice, once running high leaving the 6-10 which I put the ball in the gutter. and once through the nose leaving the 4-6-7 split on the second ball of the tenth. I ended up with some carry issues, leaving about four 10 pins that game, with an 8 pin that got stood back up by other pins. I had 10+ ten pins on the night missing only one putting it in the gutter. On that one and the 6-10 I drifted left and tried to angle the ball to make sure I got if over and it went too far right. I shot a 199 the last game when I missed everything on the 4-6-7, trying to hit the 4-7 and somehow missed it right. The one ten pin I missed was the frame after the anchor on my team finally picked up a 10 pin. I roll a 560 set bringing my average down to 184 from my entering of 194. That should change as I remember to start off with a duller ball that will move better and make all those easy spares. I'm not too sure about the point system, I think each game is worth two points handicap and the total worth one. We lost the first game by 3 pins, with our anchor flagging a 10 pin that would have made it one since he had strike in the ninth and then needed to hit the pins on the fill. We won the second game by 30 and lost the third game by 24 to take total by 3 pins, how ironic.

Well it sounds as if some of us had a good night, nice job with the 711 Mkirchie! I again shot a 600 series on my Saturday night league, a 603 to be exact... Not near as good as last week, but more spares! I only had five opens the entire night. Though two of those opens were in the 10th frown... First game I was able to carry a couple of turkey's and cover all my spares for a clean 215. Second game I got a turkey and a hambone, but opened the 10th for a 207... Third game I started off missing two easy spares. The first one a 4-7 and I just missed my mark horribly. Then next I leave a dancing 10 pin and missed the spare as the ball stuck to my hand... Then I went strike, spare, turkey. Opened in the 9th and 10th for a 181. The pressure was on to have a good third game, and again I failed to deliver for my team. So as a team we split. At least we're finally getting some games lol. Position round is in two weeks, and I'd like us to be in the top 10 before that comes around. Good luck, and high scores everyone!!!
