I was at this weeks tour stop last night - an exempt pro started with the first 4 and someone said, not yelling but loud enough to be heard, look - he go a Hambone and that pro looked up at where the fan was sitting with a discusted look

Jeff, was he disturbed by the Hambone term or the loud voice?

This is for you.

Look at page 2 top right corner. These are patches you can get for youth bowlers.

I remember patches like that from when I was younger. My mom put them all on a quilt-like rectangular fabric that I still have hanging up in my old room. I was looking at it the other day and its pretty neat seeing me going from "75 game" and "300 series" patches to "300 game" and "750 series" patches and "200 game" pins.

Those were nothing like what they look like nowadays though!

Dennis,
I really think it was the term - there were plenty of people cheering on their favorite pro so noise was not an issue.

Funny how Rob has started to invent new jargon considering the fact that he is relatively new to the sport of bowling. A "hambone" patch is actually awarded to youth bowlers who roll two (not four) consecutive strikes. He should just stick to being an American soccer and football commentator! livid
