I'm trying to persuade my center's manager to having a short season league with more challenging conditions, possibly something along the lines of a sport league. Anyone have some ideas or advice?

For the laast 2 years, I have been able to get my center to run a short league.

League is open to both adults and juniors, we put out the sport condition and Junior Gold type shots. The kids going to the Gold really like the opportunity for some practice. A lot of our YABA coaches turnout, nothing like getting a real feel for what is going on.

Since we run the league in May and June, most are out of regular league. The owner is happy over the extra income, plus his family also turn out for the experience.

We do put special effort to make sure that every one signing up knows that each week is going to be a different pattern.

Turns out to be a fun (and for some fustrating) time. I got my century watch in this league.
