An exorcism has taken place. DEMONS BE GONE. ( Knock on wood). I'm officialy out of the slump. Shot 709 tonight. That makes 2 sessions in a row over 700. One at each house. I'm rolling the ball really well. Averages are hanging around 210 at each house. Hopefully I can keep it up.

Most important is that we took all 4 points tonight. That should put us in the top three.

Good night. I'm outa here. Good luck to all.

Another solid night tonight for me, shot 213-211-199 for a 623 on the evening.

My average continues to climb and that's basically attributed to 2 simple things I've been working on, which is a lower starting point and keeping my elbow straight through the armswing, to maintain a free swing.

It is paying off.

We managed to sweep tonight too, actually beating the other team by 800 pins scratch.

Wow - so many people to say congrats too, hopefully I will be able to keep up better soon (still playing catch up from vacation) ~ so Congrats to everyone over the past 2 weeks thumbsup

I think I might be back from vacation and have redeemed myself from my awful 390 series last week. cool

Because of that series I went from a 161 to a 159 average - went in last night feeling awesome only to find that my fingers were a little swollen, uggghhhh. No problem - somehow I made it work and ended the first game with a 192. That's pretty cool - definitely will take it.

2nd game - feeling good after the 1st game but I didn't make my adjustments quick enough (I am stubborn) - 4 opens in a row (3,4,5,6 frames) - decide to take a walk around the table 3 times (funny superstition our team has only it is usually around a chair not an entire table) was able to recover with marks the rest of the game to finish with a 150. oops Well, not bad for being stubborn I guess.

3rd game - took a short pause to sell the 50/50 tickets - still in a great mood and it got even better after joking around with the men's league while selling the tickets. Finished up with a 191.

533 series - averaged 177 for the night and will go into next week with a 160. I love seeing that 160 average love and plan to not go below it for the rest of the season. wink

So despite the issues with swelling I think I pulled out a pretty good night. smile

Nice bowling Melissa,
I have found that attitude plays an important role in your success. By staying in a good mood after your 2cnd game you were able to have a pretty good evening. Good Job, you have "rebooted" and back to bowling well.

I may need matts excorcist too Dennis,
I started out ok 194, 198, and then that darn split monster shows up again and screwed up my last game, 7-9-10,7-8-10, 4-10, and a few more, 5 in all. A real nice assortment for a beautifull 149 frown Thats a few weeks in a row now that has happened. I'm a little stumped.

A new ball is being strongly considered...

I needed Excorist too guys smile

But went this morning to see my coach worked on somethings. Squaring shoulder to target (i was leaning over too much to the right - dropping my shoulder), Changed my starting hand position, and slowed my feet and swing (work on my timming). I saw some way better results in this session. I even shot a game afterwards and shot a 236. I have not seen 200+ in over 4 weeks. So now i gotta keep on practicing what we did today and take it too league.

Excorsizing the bowling demons is always a good thing! I had some for a few weeks where I was going too fast and throwing too hard and didn't realize it (so that's why I left so many 10 pins!), but recently fixed it and haven't shot under 650 in my last 4 series!

That's great. I can't say that this year. Yet.

I may have to look into a new ball soon myself, as the area around my middle finger hole is chipping away and I'm not sure how long it will last.
