I don't really see any of us on a team that is running away with the league. Most have reported up and down nights. And, we are coming up on the midpoint of the league.

Wed Night - we are 10th of 16 teams, but only 5 points out of first. It is really bunched up at the top. We have had 4 leader changes in the last 4 weeks. Whoever gets hot in the last few weeks of the half could win it.

Tues Night - we are 14 out of 20. And, we are really far out. It has taken us a long time to feel like a team. 3 Female Coaches on this team consult on each and every ball, and make recommendations to every bowler. It was unnerving at first, but has settled down. All I had to do was bowl better than them, and the Coaching stopped.

There IS such a thing as overcoaching. But, this seems to be their life. They each bowl 4-5 times a week, and Coach either on the local HS teams or Juniors on the weekend.

Personnally, I am 10 pins under my average of last year in both leagues. Haven't had a good night yet, just 30 pins +, 10- average every night. But the mean point has been rising each week.

My Thursday Night league. Competitive Hadicap mixed league. We are Tied for First with 42-28. We are deffinetly not running away with it. Teams in the 1-5 position only sepearated by 7 points. Last Place is only seprated by 17 points. Basically it still anyones to win. Last season we had a team who was 3rd from last come alive after the mid point and season and finished in the top 3. In the Summer my team was in the top 3 and plupted all the way to 10th in three weeks. So we shall see what going to happen this season.

My Saturday night league, our team has been up and down... We've fallen as low as 12th, and have been up as high as 6th. The last two weeks have killed us as we've bowled against the same team and we've only won one game out of eight against them. I've been in a slump for the most part of the last two weeks, and that hasn't helped us at all... We were in 11th place going into Saturday night, Lord only knows how far we're going to fall after only taking 2pts out of 8...

Luckily a good friend of mine that I got into our league is starting to listen to some of the things I've been trying to help him with. He throws a straight ball, and has had real trouble with consistency. Well I've been trying to teach him to follow through, as well as help him with his back swing. Much improved as he had a 142 average for the night, with his 126 league average!

After 3 weeks things haven't changed much. We were in 10th, but only 5 points out. Tonight, we were tied for second, but still 5 points out. So, we moved from 10th to second, mainly by the other teams losing. We won 7 points, and so did the first place team. So that is unchanged. But, there are only 3 teams left of the previous 10 teams that were competing for the top spot. We have a couple of weeks before the first half rolloff. We need to stay close to bowl them head to head.

My Tuesday league is sort of a "lousy bowler" league (that's actually what the league is called), unsanctioned and with a 100% of 200 handicap. My team is in about 7th of 10th place, though I primarly use that league as a sort of practice league to test aspects of my shot and see how they work.

My Wednesday league is my serious league, is sanctioned with an 85% of 220 handicap. My team is in 1st and we just swept the points this week. We're slowly starting to pull away and as of this week we were in 1st by about 12 points.
