The last four teams i have been in have been called really cheesy name - "Mission Impossibowl" was the first, followed by "Simply the best" then "Unbeatabowl" and this season is "Mission Impossibowl II"

My current team name is "The KingPins"

Other names on our league that I like are:
d3adwood
Men on the Hook
Alley Gators
5RENUF
PinHeads
GutterDusters

Other past names that I liked:
X-Team - people (bowlers) would ask if the X meant "generic".
Split Happens
Channel Surfers
Pins Up, Balls Down
Oily Balls
Pocket Pounders

I am in a Co-ed league and the best name I have seen is a team called "4 balls and 2 bags". They must have understanding wives.

Our team name is "The Right Approach" so devised 'cause the first week of the league there was some old gum or something on the approach that made us all stick and -gulp- foul on a couple of shots.

I got some good ideas for my league starting up from this thread.

Thanks to all.

I'm thinking of going with "Approach with Caution"
But we'll see what the team agrees on.

Most humorous one I'd ever heard (and announced during team introductions at a tournament):

"Bangin' the Hole"

A legitimate catch-phrase for repeatedly throwing good shots in the pocket -- but it generated more than a few gasps, especially amongst the more conservative in the house. rotfl
