I guess I'm a masochist, but I'm looking forward to bowling on the Sport Condition when it gets to my center. They're going to put out 4 lanes starting May 1st and run it through the summer, putting a three game minimum on, but refunding your money if you get a 200 or better, with a running side pot for 6 strikes in a row. Had a small group of the 'locals' bring their 200+ averages and hi rev equipment in and they left with scores ranging from 145 to 180. I'm going to take all my equipment over there and try it out, and I look forward to a Fall Sports league. Anybody else have pros or cons on this new phase of our sport?

I like the idea of Sport Bowling but the extra sanction fee is obsessive.

I love the idea of tougher conditions, but I'm very concerned that the $9 additional sanction fee will deter people. I encourage everyone to try the tougher shot, whether in open play or a league. It will absolutely make you a better bowler.

Like the promotion idea that your center is running. I have already forwarded it to my local profiteer (pun).

The extra 9 dollars really doesn't concern me that much. Most cases, that is less than 1 weeks league fees. Heck, my wife shells out far more than that to buy both WIBC and ABC memberships, just so she can bowl in a couple of extra tournaments with me. Yes there will be grumbling, but bowlers love to grumble.

I am courious whether this will be extended to Collegate/YABA? There are a lot of upper end youth bowlers that could really benefit from these conditions.

I have been bowling on a sport league now
for 3 years. It has helped me out in more
ways than I can think of. We have 4 different
shots and some are harder to hit then others.

When I started I had a 194 house league avg.
today I have a 220 house avg. Because I have learned how to Reed the lanes and keep my shoulder straght. I only avg. a 179 in the sport League.
