This is a huge pet peeve of mine...Very few leagues actually use the Peterson Point System. The majority that say (or
think they do) in fact
do not use it! 
In a
real Peterson Point System League the format is; 1 point for a win, 1/2 point for a draw, 0 for a loss, and
each player receives 1 point for each 100 pins bowled. Bowling against the opponent's score or average has nothing to do with Peterson Points, that is an entirely different method and those systems should not be confused with the Peterson Point System.
If the league doesn't follow the 1 point for each 100 pins then it certainly is NOT a Peterson Point System League and calling it that is a gross misrepresentation that can cause lots of rule disputes. :rolleyes:
