How important is it? I've tried many throw styles back and forth, and the differences are noticible, but should I use one or the other? Or is it something you adjust with the lanes? I'm not sure how to utilize it, or not.

I am more of a hand a wrist position guy. I really try to keep my hand behind the ball for a little more control. Unless the heads are starting to dry up, then I cup my wrist and snap around the side of it to clear the heads. For me it is all about what kind of condition is out there. Your style seems quite similar to mine, judging from the other thread. But those are only numbers. If you naturally lean towards wrist snapping and you have good accuracy, why not? One of my teamates snaps his wrist and is very accurate. On the other hand because of my strong wrist and forearm, I keep my arm as straight as possible even on my follow through.

Any wrist position is a good wrist position for some lane condition. That being said, if you can learn a new release you will get a different ball reaction, it is like doubling your arsenal for free, because every ball will react differently with each wrist positon.

The problem with wrist snap is can you be consistent. This is an ongoing theme on this site (as it should be). For me, I can't change the wrist snap or I will screw up my whole game. I need to stay with the same follow through all of the time or my game goes to pot!
