Now's your chance to be a delegate. What rules do you think the ABC/WIBC should adopt or drop?

The ABC should obviously adopt my proposed 750 series award wink

A 750 award is a good idea. Why they voted it down is beyond me. ALthough its not like the ABC does things that make sense on a regular basis. wink

Membership is continuing to decline. The last thing they should do is be turning down more series awards.

If they adopted the 750 award, it would cost more money to print the patches. Therefore.. national dues would go up $1. Then of course local dues would go up $1 just because national did. That keeps all the directors happy so they can use the money for their trips to the ABC convention every year.

The actually number of 750 series bowled compared to all 700s is extremely low, in the range of 10 to 15%. I was going to make a provision where if a member had bowled their 750+ before any other 700 in any season, that they would be ineligible for the 700 award, but I wanted to do this way too late for the ABC to change my original proposal. I should be getting the actual vote tally from the ABC rules committee sometime in the next few days. If the proposal wasn't shot down too badly, I will resubmit it the next convention.

Um, not necessarily true. ABC went from $6 to $8 this past season, but our local association only went up ONE DOLLAR from $4 to $5, although we could charge $8.
