This is me throwing a strike.
Back swing is the only part that is what I would call bad.
I have been throwing it this way far to long to change it though.
This is a storm razorwire, a relatively weak ball. I have trouble throwing the high end balls on our shot. I have a paradigm but it is to much ball for our house tends to over react a lot

One thing I can see is you travel WAY left on the approach even though you stand right.

Sometimes old habits that work are best to leave alone. Do you ever bowl in other Houses where you have trouble? Does a different shot cause your ball to slide out?

I like your tempo and speed.

What's with the shorts? It is becoming more noticeable here also. 2 weeks ago, it was -4 degrees, and 3 guys wore shorts.

I take pride in the fact that I still average over 200 in most every house i go to. The only thing I really struggle with is when the lanes are really dry I need to learn to play the really deep line more consistantly.

video was from a couple months ago when it was warmer IE the shorts

I am a fan of a pendulum armswing. I know that you say you won't change. But you say feel free to comment so that is my comment. You wrap the ball around your back and have a hesitation as you muscle the ball through your downswing. You must have good hand eye coordination to be accurate bowling that way. Hey, whatever works. You look kind of like Brian Himmler.

Can anyone tell from this shot how much side roll I have? There is a piece of tape on the left side but its kinda hard to see.
Just curious how much it appears I have. I think I am about half way between forward roll and all side roll.

I have tried very hard to change the back swing. Its unreal how impossible it seems. Even when I think I am swinging straighter back its still the same on video. I talked to a couple of instructors about it and they both told me that as long as I get square at the line not to worry to much about it. That said I still hate it! I give lessons to some high school bowlers, and I hate teaching them things that I dont do correctly myself. I always tell them not to watch me bowl because I am a bad example! seeingstars

I agree with Smooth, you do throw the ball a lot like Brian Himmler.

I don't think I would change your swing since it is what comes natural to you and you do seem to get to the foul line square to your target.

On Dry lanes, or playing deeper inside, you should avoid throwing the ball harder, and try to float the ball through the heads smoothly without excess force. It is the excess force that makes the ball hook early and over react to dry boards.

By the way you have about 45 degrees of axis rotation which should work for most lane conditions.
