Hey all I was wondering what the differences in The One balls was? I've seen them all thrown and they all are pretty similar, except the angular one, which seems like a sharper backend.

The One is about 75- 80% length and a sharpe turn off the breakpoint.

The Big One is about 60% length and a sharp turn off the breakpoint.

The Infinate One is the arc-er, goes about 1/2 way little more and a gradual arc.

Have not seen the Angular One in action, its not that popular around here.

I have the Angular One and honestly I don't care for it. The ball was very weak compared to my The Big One. Possibly the drilling is off but my Pro Shop guy hasn't done me wrong yet. The ball just had no back end on any hint of oil. I had a few decent series with it but it's too touchy to even bother bowling with it regularly.

I like my Angular. It has plenty of backend for me. I'm a pretty low revver and I can't throw it on anything heading toward the dry side, I've been known to knock out single 7 pins after riding the right gutter down. It is pretty touchy when it comes to oil and does take alot of adjustment, but it seems to really carry the energy to the pins.

The Big One and The One are poppular in my area. I seen a lot of people throwing them. A few have the Infinite One and havent seen really many people throw the angular one. One person in our league has Angular One. He said its Speed Consious ball if you speed not correct it wont react. Though all i seen him is leave splits with that ball.

I have the Infinite One, but dont use it often anymore as when i first got it. It seemed to died on me. It wont do anything anymore my Strike Zone even out hooks it now.

Erin did a nice job of explaining (as usual) I have the whole series except the Infinate One. My Angular One - though I like it, is touchy. If I do not keep the speed exactly the same on each shot I get in trouble. Now that's not the balls fault, it hits hard and carries well but I need a little wiggle room and this ball doesn't give it to me.

Love The One for Med Oil
Big One for Med to Heavy

The Angular and The One are really popular in this area. I own both and have really enjoyed the Angular. It is definitely speed dependent. If you let up at all, it let's you know, sometimes not very nicely either.

The Angular out of the box has a vicious snap, but I applied some exteneder polish to it and it tamed down nicely. It does mix pins up nicely on the thin pocket shots.

Haven't tried the Infinite or the Big.

I only used my Infinate One a few times. Never was very impressed with it. I call it The Rock.

My favorite is the Big One.

But Josh what you also have to keep in mind is what kind of condition you are on and how you throw the ball. If you are speed dominant you probably will not like the Angular One or maybe even The One. If you have slower ball speed then you might like those better then the Big One or Infinate One. Keep in mind that if you do not have conditions and release for skid/snap you are not going to be able to buy it in a ball. If you are on drier wood lanes then probably the Big One or the Infinate One are not going to be the best choices. Then condsider drilling. When The One came out I got one of the first ones during the Pro Shop seminar. We drilled it up stacked leverage and off I went 290 out of the box. A lot of people wanted theirs drilled like the Demo balls; pin up between the bridge. Then when they saw mine react they had them plugged and redrilled; "I want it like hers".

I have The Big One, and did'nt really like it at first. But I attribute that to me trying to get the ball to do what its really not meant to do. I had visions of a Tommy Jones hook, when I first got this ball. As Erin so eloquently stated, you have to be capable of throwing such a shot. I was forcing the issue, and not getting the reaction I THOUGHT I was supposed to get. I have now wised up, and let the ball do what it was intended to do, not what I thought it should do. The Big One is now one of my favorite balls. Its a little high maintenance( you must keep it clean)like most balls these days, but its a darn good ball.
