So in my Thursday night 745 Scratch League, we have an ongoing strike pot. Everyone puts in three dollars at the beginning of the night and if you strike out in the 10th frame then you are in the running for some money. Last week the pot was up to around $750 to be split 2 ways if 2 people strike out or if you happen to be the only one, it's all yours. If the total goes over $1000 then they split it up three ways, and so on.

So Thurday rolls around and by the time I get to the 10th frame I notice a few too many people gathered around behind me. I thought that was odd, and threw my first strike. Came back, even more people. Hmmm....throw another strike, this time I hear applause. Come to find out, I was the last chance in the first game for the pot to carry over. Third ball, BAM flush. I come back to high fives and pats on the back. Nice work.

On to game two. This time somehow we sail through the game quickly. I end up punching in the 10th again, only this time I was the first one to do. So the waiting game begins. And of course at least two other people strike out and yet another carry over. Still have hopes for the 3rd game though. Sure enough, come 6th frame, already another carry over.

Good news is that there is always this week. Total should be over $800. Let's just hope that this time I am the only one. Lord knows I could sure use the money.
