Is there some bowling software out there that helps analyze your game? I have been keeping Track of my scores, but I wondered if I kept Track of my pin fall, would it help analyze any consistent faults? Is there software out there that would be able to analyze my probable faults by analyzing the pinfall and scores? Thanks,

I use Gone Bowlin to log all my scores. If you want to get specific you can record every frame to see where you're faults are. I tried that but with as many games as I throw per week it got tedious. Now I log in each game and it spits out a graph showing you your average per game and it charts your season to show you if you went up, down or stayed consistent(plus a few other options). It's cheap and easy to use.

It's cheap and easy to use. I was going to write something that would do this and take the tediousness out of it, but there were to many obstacles. My idea was to write a client piece of software for Cell phones so that you could easily record your scores on your phone and then get them to your computer and use the software there to process them. The trouble is that every Cell phone provider has their own framework, and for some of them it's just cost prohibitive to do this. It would cost me several thousand dollars to just get the licencing in order to be able to write software for verizon phones. Now if Windows Moblie was more prominant on phones, that would be an option, but it's just not right now. I'm continuing to try and think of a way to make this work, and as technology changes, I'll hopefully eventually get to something that will be accessable to a lot of people.

Interesting idea and you are definitely on to something. I regularly use my Cell phone to record my scores as a text draft that way I don't forget to record the exact scores when I get home. Having it sent from my phone to my PC would be awesome.

Thank you I saw Gone Bowling and tried it, but it does not provide any analysis and advice. If I just want to keep Track of my scores, I can create an Excel spreadsheet.

All of my scores are in the House Computer. Why isn't this data accessable and downloadable? If there is a fee, then so be it. We could be given access codes and logon when we wish.

I use "Frames" with my palm pilot. I record all of my scores, my pin leaves, which bowling ball was used, where I am standing, which arrow I'm targeting, Which bowling alley I am at, what pattern is being used, the date, and the lane being bowled on. It keeps Track of my strike percentage, my spare percentage, my pocket percentage, my pocket strike percentage, and my single pin spare percentage. It keeps Track of my highs and my lows. It works on the Palm operating system. If you have one of those palm phones, then you could already use it on your phone I would imagine.

I also use 'Frames', probably the most comprehensive program for tracking individual bowling performance out there. If you're being honest with yourself and with the program it can really assist you with your game. I have a house that I bowl in that has 3 different shots from lanes 1-20...I definitely have used it to Track how each lane plays and then I go back and refer to it the next time I'm on that pair in league. I have it on my T-mobile MDA...it is a great investment and I think I purchased mine for $39.95, but you recoup that almost instantly if you use it for its intended purpose. As far as individual bowling tracking goes, 'Frames' is the top of the line...
