Brandon you are starting to get the problem I have been having. It used to be my first game was the best but not for the last 10 weeks. As it was last night I shot 148, 173, and 197 for a 518. This is much better than the 460's I had been shooting for awhile and now I am holding my average at least.

As far as the team we won all 4 and are now 57-47. Our third bolwer who has a 139 average shot a horrid 103 and then shot 204 and 241. Those were his first 200 games ever. I have never seen anyone catch fire like that. As it was he shot that 103 and had 26 in the 3rd frame of the second game and then he just took off. Needless to say with 65 and 102 over average only the first game was close. We only won that one by 15 pins.

Scott,
Yeah i hear you. If we can just get it together that first gamme we be fine. Awh that bowling for you i guess. Your 139 average bowler seem like me. First game be totally gone then just catch fire. My first game was 123 and my second game is 201 that a 82 pin difference.

One good thing Brandon is that I am having fun again so I am not taking it all so serious and doing better. Like you I need to work on consistency. I am sorry to hear from your other thread about your problem teammate.

Our one teammate who we have had some problems with had another incident last night but we have learned to just let him have it. He got upset because the score machine was messing up and in trying to fix it he got irate with a lady on the other team. We told him he better knock it off and just calm down. He continued to huff and puff and when we told him to knock it off he said he was this close to leaving and we told him if that was what he needed to do then go ahead. He ended up calming down, apologizing to the lady on the other team and we went on with life. We have decided we are going to speak our mind with him and now incidences like these are few and far between.

Yeah bowling is suppose to have fun. Glad to hear you back to having fun. Im having fun to i decided last night just to ignore him i congrat if he didnt want to accept it fine. But other memebers didnt like his additude cause seem he was more supportive of the other team then his own team.

Friday night league. We started out -98 pins in the hole so we knew that we had to come out and bowl. Carried the first two games with at 231 and a 211 and we won buy 100+ pins. Third game opend the first two frames with splits and missed a 7 pin (I'm a lefty) in the third but my three other team mates rolled strikes and we were up after the third frame so I was able to relax. Since my line was all burnt up I started to play other lines and releases and shot a 151. I didn't even get upset and had a lot of fun my third game. We won by 70 pins and took all four. It was nice to be carried by my team mates and raised my average two pins. The third game really put the "fun" back into bowling!! Yup, bowling is supposed to be fun smile

Well, I'd love to put some scores up here for this week, but I live in northern NJ, so my league got cancelled due to the wonderful weather we got today! (It's sort of an update!) I really didn't want this to happen, I've been really lined up the last 2 weeks and I was looking forward to tonight. Oh well.

Mine got cancelled too! We are getting slapped with 16" of snow. I just got my driveway back from the last 14" of snow we had. This makes 2 nights of bowling Mother Nature cost me, she owes me. I can't get a chance to roll a 300 from the couch wink

Got my Storm Shift today, used it in league. Probably should not have used it but couldnt resist. It is a huge amount of ball.
I was standing on the second to last dot and throwing over the left side of the fourth arrow out to about 7. A very fun shot if you can hit it consistantly. With my lift being as inconistant as my speed it was a miracle to shoot 610!
On the more exciting side my wife started bowling lefty about 3 months ago.(she had wrist surgery on the right) She has a 105 average and shot a 461 series! Was really nice seeing her succeed after all the disappointment of having to start over.

Bowl my 15TH Perfect Game and We Still Lose Them All!

Man, what a night. Ups and downs, in the end, mostly a downer.

One man absent so -10 pins per game. First and Second bowlers (143 & 154) just under or above their averages for each game. Third bowler (184) bowls a stellar 399 series. Yep, 399 livid

Yours truly bowls a 239, 300 thumbsup and a 247. We were giving up 78 pins per game. The anchor on the opposing team gets a 227 the first game, a 276 the second game and a 238 the third game to cover the handicap and add to the 51 pins per game our third bowler was unable to cover.

What a night.

Truth be told, the second and third bowlers (wife and husband combo) aren't my first choice for team members next year. Too much complaining, whining about the ball or the lanes and no idea that a bowler has to make adjustments. They do not have any willingness to learn, either. They think they know the game inside and out. Yeah, the third bowler has a 184 average but his average at the start of the league was 201 - First Night Luck.

OK, enough whining on my part. I was pleased with my bowling, just too bad that the team didn't do well.
