Last year my husband and I were added to an existing team clled Mystery, Inc. Our teammates where huge Scooby Doo fans.
Our summer league consisted of 2-person teams. We came up with What Not to Bowl. A play on our favorite TV show What Not to Wear. Neither one of us is a very good bowler so the name really fit. We also toyed with Whose Lane is it Anyway (Whose Line is it Anyway) which I obvously chose for my screen name. Since there was just the 2 of us on the team we also considered The Just-Us League We are bowling on a new league this fall and will have different teammates, so I have no clue as to what our new name will be.

I was on a Summer league where we had a team called The Alleygators. We all loved bowling with those people because they were so much fun. There was another team called Gutter Mouths; this fall they are called Spread 'em Wide.
My team this season is called Salt and Pepper; we're 3 greying guys, so this works perfectly. We're a mixed league and our team has a vacancy for a greying lady to join us. Grey optional I suppose, but it would help with the motif. But my favorite team name this year is Prepare 2 Drink.
The first bowling team I was on got its name from the list of teams listed A, B, C, etc. We were team G. When asked for a name, I suggested G-Force. The sole lady on the team emailed me back and thanked me for not suggesting G-String.

This year we're called the Pocket Rockets, 2 of us are missile maintainers in the US Air Force and we wear "Pocket Rockets" on our uniforms. Our wives bowl with us and the "Pocket Rockets" apparently has another meaning too. Last year we had a team called the Gutter Lovers.

I bowl in a men's scratch league...one of the teams consist of four divorcees who went with the name 'The X's Have It'...
A nice play on words/irony...don't know which one of them came up with it, but it's pure genius.
