My League Pres, and the contact with USBC, called and told me my partner and I cashed in the Doubles of the USBC Tourney Corpus Christi. Didn't tell me how much, but will bring a check on Wednesday.
Looked at the Web Site, we weren't in the top 75 listed, but were only a few pins under.

First major Tourney in 27 years, and a payout! Hooray!! Already paid for Reno in April.

Nice job Dennis,

I love getting checks. What I used to do when I bowled more tournaments was as you just mentioned - have a check pay for the next tourney. Put the money aside so I could bowl the next tourney I wanted to go to.

Nice Job!!!

For both Team (on a Saturday AM) , and Doubles (on Sunday AM) I used a Columbia EPX t1. plus a spare ball. It handled the fresh oil great. The second round on Sunday (Singles) was bowled without being oiled in between sets. I switched to a Brunswick Warp Zone for the final 3 games. This was an older ball, but I have confidence in it for medium+ oil. This is what I call a mushy ball on impact. Not a freight train. But, if it doesn't hit, it leaves very makable spares.

Well done!! Only cashed in the team. My painkillers wore off in the 5th frame, 3rd game, 95 in 5th, open ------ out. 140 something. Had a hip problem that has been taken care of. Good thing us older folks have short memories. Team shot 2945 or so.

Got my check tonight. I was surprised. I did cash in Doubles, and also in Singles. That was the surprise. My Doubles partner, likewise cashed in Doubles, Singles, and all events.
Reno in April, entry fee and a couple of good dinners are paid. Maybe some left for the Casino. I get comped rooms at Harrah's. This trip will be fun.
How do I get free airline tickets? I guess I use my airline miles credit card for Christmas.

My coach & driller won the scratch doubles in Corpus. Congrats to you on your cashes!
