I'll throw this out there in case anyone is close enough to Indianapolis to help me. Several years ago I bowled at a duckpin center (2 actually) in Fountain Square, I believe the name was.

With the upcoming Jr. Gold National Tournament in July, I want to make sure the kids are aware of it--if it still exists.

One center was decorated like the 20s and 30s, the other was decorated straight out of the 50s.

I know duckpins centers are closing at a rate faster than 10 pin houses, so I figure before I send the kids on a wild goose chase (pun intended) I'd find out if the place was still around.

Thanks in advance

angel my parents actually own a house in the fountain square area and as of now that duckpin alley is still open (the one on the top floor)...unforately for the center (and not for the real estate values of the homes in that area) they are building an open air mall that will encompass the entire area of the fountain...however, Julians in Downtown Indy and Pinheads in Nobleville (far northside Indy) are two places i know that have duckpin

The kids did go this summer and bowled at the duck pin places (Action and Atomic?) and had a blast. I'm thrilled it's still there. Wish I could get back there, it was truly a one-of-a-kind experience. My t-shirt didn't survive the gazillions of times I wore it.
