I'm now looking forward to order the new Paradigm Passion(13lbs) , but I would like first to know some stuff from you before I order it, its about the Pin placement and the top wight, I know that the pin placement has the major influence on the ball reaction, I want my ball to hook early , where should the pin placement be to do this ? and also I will only drill three holes in the ball is 2.5oz is enough or I can get less ?

On the box there are two things to look for. Top weight and pin distance. That's the pin to CG distance.

THEN, there's how you lay out the ball when you drill it. You need to talk to your Pro Shop about what layout will work best for you. A weight hole completely depends on the layout. You could drill a ball with 2.5 top weight that needed a weight hole or one that didn't all depending on how you drill it.

Again, talk to whoever is going to drill the ball. If you're not going to talk to them, I'd guess that a 2"-3" pin would be the safest.

Your friend more than likely got a "blem", wihch is not a first rate ball. That's one of the chances you take when you buy a ball over the internet from someone who isn't reputable.

That's what happens when you order balls via the internet. You never know what you are going to get. Plus getting a 13 is very difficult. I'd go for 14, its a more common weight and you'll get better results from it anyway. I'm not sure if this ball comes with a dynamic core under the weight of 14lbs. But getting 13lb balls is a pain in the "you know what". They just aren't made. At 19 and being male, there should be no reason why you cannot handle 14 or even 15lbs.

Torpedo, it's all mental. At 19 I agree that there is no reason for you to be using such a light ball. You will be amazed at how quickly your body adjusts to the extra weight. 4 years ago, I was flinging a 12 ball down the lane. My friends told me I needed a heavier ball. I went to the Pro Shop and the Pro Shop guy gave me a 15 pound ball. I have since gone up to 16 pounds with no problem.

If I were you, I would at least try 14 pounds. Only Brunswick makes the dynamic cores for balls under 14 pounds, I believe. Hey Norm Duke is 130 pounds soaking wet and he uses 16 pounds. No reason you can't use 14 pounds. You really need to visit a Pro Shop and talk to the Pro Shop guy/girl.

after hours of thinking I decided to get a 14lbs ,, also I was planing to build my body and lift wights so I can throw heavier balls, getting a 13lbs wouldn't help me ..

thanks smoother..
