Ebonite's Thumb straight is sold at a few of the online bowling vendors that I go through, if you want one of their locations PM me and I will give it to you.

Are you experiencing knuckle irritation or a callus? Too large a thumb hole often leads to a "death grip" and a bent thumb. If the problem is just minor, you can correct with bowler's tape. Other things you can try are: 1) There is a product that makes thumb molds based upon your best fitting thumb hole, the molds can then be inserted into your other balls; 2) There is a product called switch-grip, it allows you to have several thumb inserts which can be changed as needed.

I have not used any of these items, but have been considering switch-grips (Coach04 says he likes them).

I'm using the thumb mold, and am pretty impressed with it. It's amazing how it makes all of your equipment feel the same.

Big Mack,
Can you PM me with info for finding "Switch-Grips"? Who is the manufacturer? Any online info?
Thanks a bunch!

Yes I use Switch Grips and I love them.

I have arthritis and my joints can double in size in less than a few seconds. If and when that happens I just change size of thumb hole and keep on bowling.

If my skin is moist, I use Urethane slugs, if I am dry skinned I use Vinyl. Any way you go, they offer the most options for custom fitting to the need of the moment.
