well i've been doing more reading about the Storm balls lacking in pin action and making clean hits... also i was seeing they didn't have much life to them before they die(this is important for me because I bowl every day)... SO i was looking at the Bully and the throttle from Columbia and the inferno from Brunswick... I was wondering how they all compare because each manufacture seems to have different rating systems for hook. I'm worried that the Bully series hooks to much compared to storms XFactor though i hear it is a good ball

Please help me chose!!!

I use the Brunswick Inferno as my "Normal" ball, the Bully as my heavy oil ball.

I used to throw a Throttle, and was very happy with it until it quit turning the corner for me. It's a garage ball now...

I would go with the Bully over the Throttle, only because Columbia used BASF to help them out with the Bully coverstock. And it seems to be helping with the longevity of the coverstock, IF you keep up on the ball maintanence.

Erin,

What kind of cleaner(s) would you recommend for the Big Bully (BASF M8 Coverstock) and the Raging Inferno from Brunswick...to keep them in good shape. I have the Clean and Dull and have been using that on my Raging...the Big Bully arrives Thursday...

Thank you,

Mike

I would use any cleaner. Clean and Dull is if you want the ball dull. But if you want the ball polished then don't use Clean and Dull. I use something called U-Clean, U-Score. Its very old and probably not in production anymore, but we have a small supply of it so we use it. It gets the surface grime off.

If you use any bowling ball in dull condition, you must remember that friction with the lane will polish it. Therefore, you need to have the Pro Shop bring a dull ball back down to whatever dull condition you wish it to be in. But it will not stay dull forever, or for long depending on your lane conditions.
