I had my bowling ball drilled fingertip a couple of years ago, but i noticed at home recently that if i insert my fingers first, then my thumb, w/o wearing my wrist brace, they seem to get stuck. I can only get my fingers out of the ball with a lot of effort. I panicked at first, but eventually i got my fingers out after a lot of wiggling. Is there something wrong with the drilling? does this mean i can't bowl w/o using my wrist brace? cause when i hold it at the lanes with a brace, i don't encounter this problem.
Yes, I sometimes have to have help getting it off my hand. Usually if I let my arm hang straight down, raise it slightly then very quickly, push down and pull up, it will pop off.

Quite some time ago, a coach who emphasized holding the ball with relaxed fingers, had me hold the ball at my side, with the wrist relaxed (in "broken wrist" position). The ball stuck in the fingers, but then he would push the wrist straight, and voila, the ball dropped off the hand. Maybe this is what you're experiencing, F.
F: As what my pro-shop guy told me, you could try pulling your fingers down towards the direction of the thumb hole first before u insert your thumb, that way it'll be easier for the thumb to come out (Not sure if this applies only to my hand or not, but it works for me)
