For a heavy oil lanes I use
Brunswick HPD
Morich Weapon of mass bias
For medium Lanes I use
Absolut inferno
3d offset hammer(shined).
And for dry lanes I use
lightning storm
white dot.

I use my absolut inferno and HPD most often.

Right now everything I have is better on med. to heavy oil (syn. lanes). I just bought a Storm Paradigm that has been working well. As a back up I have a Storm El Nino in the bag and a Columbia White Dot for spares. I had all older equipment until recently, I had a few year lay off from the game so I'm getting updated slowly.

In reserve I had a Cuda/c 2000, a 3D Hammer Offset and another Columbia White dot. I'm holding onto the Cuda, giving away the other 2 then I need to invest in something for wood lanes as soon as I can swing it.

For some reason, I like to buy all of one brand at a time.

Right now I have the MoRich products...
A Shock and Awe for drier lanes and a sharp breakpoint,
A Weapon of Mass Bias for medium to oily lanes with more of an arc (and great on carrydown).
And the Total Shock and Awe for heavy, heavy oil.
And a spare ball.

I have seen the Blazing Violet mentioned on here a few times. I have this ball and still love this ball. But there is only one X Factor.

A List:
Heavy Oil: Fear Factor
Medium Oil: X Factor
Light Oil: Too Hot
Dry/Spare: White Dot

Just in case balls:
Medium/Heavy: Deuce ( Matte surface )
Medium/Heavy: Thrash ( Particle Pearl, good with carry down )
Wet/Dry: RevMaster ( drilled label, very predictable and strong arc)

I carry three to league: Thursday League
X Factor
Too Hot
White Dot

Tuesday League
Fear Factor or Thrash
X Factor
White Dot

When I go to Nationals, I will take my RevMaster and my Deuce also just so I can be ready for whatever I see.

Hi my name is bowling joel aka joel. I have
purchased a roto grip mercury. I thought it was
for medium to heavy oil. I find after a cpl wks.
it does not move in heavy oil. What if anything
can I do to get it to hook in heavy oil? Is their
anything Pro Shop can or might do to accomplish
this. Thanks in advance.
PS,i like the ball but can't control hook. Ball has lots of back end. joel

I just bought my first ball. A Columbia 300 White dot. I guess I qualify as a newbie since I have only bowled sporadically with house balls over the years. The White Dot serves my purposes well for now since I bowl straight. It reacts the same on any type lane condition. Later on when I'm ready to move up I'll probably enherit my son's Storm Hot Rod Hybrid. smile

3 balls that are in my bag on a consistent basis.

Storm Paradigm
Storm X-Factor
Storm Erase-It

I use them in that order from oil to dry. When I go to any tournaments, I bring a Columbia Red-Pearl Shadow. In leagues, it is never dry enough to pull it out. Tournaments are a different story though.
