The lanes that I bowl on are using a "defensive" type of lane conditioner..Is there different types of conditioners used by different houses?? And if so--what differences will it (if any) have on your equipment-- Thanks

There are many brands of oil and there are many different machines to apply the oil with. Add in the thousands of mechanics that apply the oil (some just push the button, others actually plan out the shot and tinker to get the desired results).

The differences of all the variables will create everything from an "oil slick" where the ball won't move to a "sahara" condition where the ball hooks off your hand.

Sometimes it's helpful to talk to your teammates (especially if they bowl multiple centers) and see if they have any suggestions on where to play.

Thank you--but they don't know either--yet they are scoring big scores & breaking records--Thanks again--It just must be the way I'm playing --I like to swing the ball and they go right up the boards--
