Tonight's bowling, frame-by-frame (Linked to BowlSK sheet) Tonight was frustrating overall, with an abundance of splits and washouts, and even a ball change to my IQ Tour Fusion in the third game didn't improve matters. Result was my first Sunday night under 500 this season. Result: 162-173-158=493 Average (24 games): 181 Average for last 9 games: 176 Next week's AVG+1 score: 551 Composite average (48 games): 181 The team largely shared my frustration, but we did manage to win the second game.

Tonight's bowling, frame-by-frame (Linked to BowlSK sheet) I couldn't make it three consecutive weeks with a 600 in this league, and just barely missed my average. I missed a couple of 7 pins in the third game that would have gotten me over my average again, but other than that, I was OK with my bowling tonight. Result: 180-203-159=542 Average (27 games): 181 Average for last 9 games: 195 Next week's AVG+1 score: 572 Composite average (51 games): 181 Si was over his average all three games, with his high game of the season, a 190, enabling us to win the third game by enough for total. The third point was there in the first game if I converted my light split, but I whiffed on it.

Tonight's bowling, frame-by-frame (Linked to BowlSK sheet) This was an over-average night, but could have been much more if I showed up for the third game. My problems on the right (ending) lane at the end were caused by not following through, but my shot in the 10th was better; I just couldn't repeat it. Result: 186-213-148=547 Average (27 games): 181 Average for last 9 games: 174 Next week's AVG+1 score: 550 Composite average (54 games): 181 If I'd bowled around my average third game, we'd have had a chance to win it, but the other team's anchor put up a 277 that game, as it was. Team did win the second game.

Tonight's bowling, frame-by-frame (Linked to BowlSK sheet) This was pretty much a repeat of last week in this league, but with a worse first game and a better second game, the latter which should be my high game in this league this season to date. I was happy that the second game was clean, but then I came undone after that. Result: 155-226-140=521 Average (30 games): 180 Average for last 9 games: 184 Next week's AVG+1 score: 564 Composite average (57 games): 181 We were up against a big pre-bowl, but Barry had a 226 of his own first game, and Donald was over his average in all three games; team won the first two games, but lost total in the third game.

After two years of bowling in a terrible center I proudly announced I'd never return to, I'm making a weekly hour drive to Plaza Bowl, in Prescott, AZ. I couldn't be happier.
My first two weeks were rough, but 11 weeks in, I'm averaging 206. Scoring conditions are good, and I'm raising my average every week. I expect to be well above 210 by the end of the season. My personal best series is over four years old now, as is my lone 300, and both of those are goals for the year as well.
The best part is, I'm bowling with my wife and my parents. We're averaging almost 6 points a night (out of a standard 7) and as outsiders to the center, there's some grumbling about us, but I guess that's to be expected.
I'm having fun bowling again. Something I haven't really experienced in a few years. Now its time to achieve some goals.

My team pre-bowled this week. I shot 238, 211, and 229 for a 678 series, raising my average to 207. Two opens in the second game kept me from an easy 700.
I had a rough start to league, but my 21 game trailing average is 218. If I can keep that clip I should be getting my average where I want it for this year.

Tonight's bowling, frame-by-frame (Linked to BowlSK sheet) It was another over-average Sunday night, despite wanting my second game back. The ball change with the move in later helped me find my stride. Result: 191-158-207=556 Average (30 games): 182 Average for last 9 games: 177 Next week's AVG+1 score: 573 Composite average (60 games): 181 I was high on the pair, but the effort rang a bit hollow, as we lost all eight.

Tonight's bowling, frame-by-frame (Linked to BowlSK sheet) Overall, this was a very frustrating night, as I never put two strikes together and missed plenty of spares. The bright spot, it seemed, was the two split conversions, one of them a tougher 5-7. Result: 149-168-151=468 Average (33 games): 178 Average for last 9 games: 170 Next week's AVG+1 score: 567 Composite average (63 games): 180 Barry and Jeff put up a 203 and a 190 respectively in the second game, and we won that game, holding on for total.

I've been fighting a cold all week, I thought about not bowling today. I decided to give it a go anyway. First ball thrown during shadow practice, I felt completely discombobulated. Second ball thrown wasn't much better. I was ready to pack it up at that point but kept at it.
It turned out to be a very decent day even though my head felt like it was floating 2 feet above me. First 6 series of the season and a clean 10 for the last game.
