Here's another recommendation. When you get home from bowling, throw the towel you used to wipes your ball in the wash.

I do use a clean towel each time, in fact I have a load of them in the washer right now. But good advice. thumbsup

To make your lane owner happy cut out the lofting and find another line to play on the lane instead. smile

I don't loft it out as much as I used too (to the arrows) just to the first set of dots, about six feet? grin

I think the owner needs to give a better explanation with proof.

Yea I don't want to get in to a big pi * * ing match, so I'll go along for now, with a dry towel, and let you know how it works out. blush

I did not mention it before but thinking about it, this is a house with old (1940's) wood lanes, wonder if that makes a difference, varnish vs Formica. idea

You're moving in the right direction there Joe.
I get the ball out onto the lane a bit, but I doubt it's out to the dots unless my thumb sticks or something. I'm lucky enough to still be fairly flexible to post my shots. My guess is that your knees don't bend much at the release point.
Wood lanes aren't as forgivable as synthetic lanes. All the places around here are synthetic except for Wheaton Bowl which is a mix. The heads are wood and the back half are synthetic. I can't take any strong bowling balls with me to that place.
Try a house with synthetic surfaces and you'll see that it's even more difficult to get your ball to hook for you.
I started last night with my Storm IQ Tour 30 and it was working nicely. Into game 2 my ball was breaking way to hard and going high. Had to go to a tamer ball for the rest of the night.
Good luck!

Oh they bend down fine it's the getting up part that is troublesome.
So I just plant and chuck. eek

My last day out, I just used a dry towel, no spray, and did not see any change good or bad. So now I'll just use it after a series.

How about trying this?
Nice smooth footwork on the approach, relaxed swing, glide into a slide with your slide foot and roll the ball with your fingers underneath it and thumb out to towards the wall.
I think you'll be surprised as to the results you'll get.
Regarding black marks. Don't know!

Thumb should be pointing toward the gutter. For a right hander that would be to the right, I think.
