My preference is Neo-Tac Hook It. It does the best job of removing belt marks and restoring dull and shiny surfaces, with minimal effort compared to other products I have tried. It's for use before and after, but not during USBC competition. Finding an online supplier was a problem for a while. But now, BuddiesProShop.com stocks it.
Side note. I was at a PBA East regional, and several balls got stuck in the ball return, including mine. When they came back, my ball was all gunked up. I reached in my bag for Powerhouse wipes
, which are approved for use during USBC competition. I keep these in my bag for just such occasions. However, the tournament director was on top of me in a flash. He said they are not approved for use during PBA competition, and disqualified the ball from further use. Huh?! I never heard that before, and couldn't find that in the PBA rules. Oh well, learned something that day.
