Thanks SK as always, Been wanting to check the Alpha out. I am looking for something hard off the spot on the longer heavier patterns. A friend of mine has the new Hammer Scandal and it is a beast, it made the Eiffel tower look like a house shot. What current Storm ball would you say comes closest to the scandal?

@mmalsed,

Thanks for the kind words! Now that my baby girl is getting in a little more of a routine (she is 2 months old now) its a little easier to get some work done.

@Rocket Jr,

I would say the Alpha Crux is the closest to the Scandal as far as numbers and hook shape. The Lock is definitely sharper and faster off the spot but the Alpha Crux hooks more overall.

Thanks again,For some reason I have not seen a lot of the Locks this season although the patterns have been mostly the longer patterns. I have been getting by with adjusting surfaces on my current equipment, Crux,Hy-Road Solid, Byte (Which by the way just wont seem to die) and Zero gravity. With me not being rev dominant I sometimes have trouble with my stuff coming off the spot late forcing me to play a little straighter then I like. I will look into the Lock. Oh by the way I never got around to posting but two weeks ago Dad shot his highest series to date 789 with a 299 with his Sky Rocket and yes it was the 10 pin. But the bowling Gods just paid him back for the horrible through the nose 10 in the pit they gave him on the 11th ball, lol.

Yes Rocket, except for my second Byte which cracked, my first one keeps rolling on like a trooper. Still have no idea what I'd replace it with, a very special move it has.

Got a little worried about the Crux with some $119 specials this month. Hope it's not on the chopping block. I could probably use the lock, but would be better served by a Crux pearl on our conditions.

The Alpha Crux is a beast, and does love to eat oil. Not many of the new Storm balls fit my game. I think they had a better overall line a year ago.
