I bowled a house tournament today. I was on my game during qualifying and shot an even 700. I shot fairly well during my matches, enough to place second on the step ladder. There was a short delay before the 3rd and 4th seeds squared off. Even though I stayed loose on the practice pair, I lost, for lack of a better term my game. I was not the same bowler by the time I got to the stepladder game. It was like my adrenaline was turned off. Needless to say, I lost badly.

What do you guys do to maintain your intensity while waiting?

I bowled ABTA at Action Bowl Saturday night. I made the cut to match play but there was about 20 minutes delay before we got going. My back stiffened up nasty and I got booted very quickly. I need to find a way to remain competitive.

Yeah but all that will do is help pass the time. Maybe donuts (sugar) and energy drinks to keep my energy level up?

For me... it is managing food levels consistently along with some sort of entertainment to pass the time... (Music, cell phone games, et all) Pure sugar is bad for me personally... super high, super crash. I prefer protein, a salad, or at the worst... some sort of carby food like fries. Smaller quantities for me are better also.

Last year? Not pretty. No high scores worth posting from 15-16. But good times ahead. smile

That's a good point Vic, I have been trying to use sugar and energy drinks to maintain my energy level. I may be crashing prematurely because of this.
