As usual, we also have a "brag" thread for honor scores. As this thread is started, please try to include the league name and bowling center (along w/ city, state) so I can credit the score(s) on our Facebook page.

As usual, we also have a "brag" thread for honor scores. Or a congratulatory thread depending on who's posting. It sure would be nice to do a little bragging this season.

I'll add the first one of this young season. Shot my 3rd 300 today in the local tournament at my home house. It came in game 2 of the four game qualifying. Best bowling I've ever done in my life. Buried the pocket all day, left almost all corner pins when I didn't strike. Had 233, 237, and 239 in the other 3 qualifying games. I was the top seed and received a bye to the quarterfinals. Started with the front 7 and shot 268. Semis started with the front 7 again but with an open in the 8th. Shot 254. Cruised into the finals but ran up against a really tough opponent (the same guy who shot a 900 in February). It was a two-game final and my 234 and 256 was 24 pins short. Still, really happy with averaging over 250 for the entire day and adding another honor score to my resume. Used my Columbia 300 Disorder, my previous two 300s were with my Ebonite Cyclone and my Ebonite Challenge respectively. The Ebonite family of bowling balls seems to work really well for my game.

wronghander, this tournament makes me doubly happy b/c you had the 300 and because Hakim won. I'll make sure your honor goes up on FB.

With Hakim winning I also know that this will make it onto the 10th board as well. No shame in losing to him btw, he bowled great and actually had the front 9 in the 2nd game before leaving a split in the 10th. The folks that stuck around saw some great bowling.

Congratulations. Great bowling. The only time I have had scores like that are during practice. The Mission X is my number 1 ball. Nothing I have tried can match up with it.

Had my first 300 of the season last night, and third of my career (all this calendar year). I *think* my games were 226, 203, 200, 300 in that order. Felt like it was close all night but struggled, just told myself to relax and not try to do so much with the ball. Suddenly my power and consistency showed up and I was in "can't miss" mode. Was pretty sure after the 7th frame I'd go all the way, barring a stone eight or somesuch. Used my Diva for my second 300 with this ball. Opponent tossed a 249, has to hurt but to his credit he struck out in the tenth to edge me in total pins by a handful.

May no longer be considered a true honor, but I'll add a score that I'm aware of: wronghander had a 290 game last night in his trios league.
