You all are great! I appreciate all of the support! It sure is frustrating being down like this. I'll let you all know what the doctor says. Maybe the doctor will give me some preventative tips. I'll keep you informed. Thanks all!!

I agree you should see a doctor.

For general information though, remember that it takes six weeks for an injury to heal. Healing is promoted by blood flow, and heat increases blood flow, so soaking in hot water can aid the healing process. Jacuzzi action can increase blood flow even more.

Thanks Coach04 ~gives me a great excuse to go rent a cabin in the Smokies to get some of that jacuzzi action!! That really sounds good to me! Oh, excuse the puns I'm just trying to keep my spirits up. Getting back to all seriousness I bet you are absolutely right. I know that sports trainers in basketball and football help injured players by having them soak their injuries in a jacuzzi type tub, I've seen it done with leg injuries. I am going to see my doctor but right now he is very busy and can't get me in soon. Six weeks of healing is a long time but it would be worth it not to risk having trouble with this injury in the future. As of this morning it was painful even lifting the coffee pot. And that's much lighter than any of my bowling balls. A jacuzzi would be great but I'm forced to stick with hot baths. I could try a heating pad at night. And maybe put some IcyHot or BenGay on it during the day. Whatever will help. I really do appreciate all of the suggestions and the support. Thanks all.

Well I have had an accident on my driveway wedns
morning taking the garbage to the curb. I did not
see the black ice and lost my footing immediately.
I am sore but nothing is broken, just a little
bruised up. I bowled wedns night but was not the
guy that showd up last wedns and had a difficult
time. 143-205-149 the second game was perfect and
I don't know why. I am going on vaca and will get
plenty of rest and will be ready when I get back.
It felt good to bowl at least one good game, also
that's the only game we won. see you in two weeks
banged up but not down for the count. bowling joel thumbsup

Sorry to hear about your fall Joel... The real pain shows up 36 hours after the event, then it just gets better after that.... smile

Hope you enjoy your vacation

That must hurt. You better take care of it.

A few years ago I slipped on ice and landed flat on my behind and with my minor back problems, it wasn't minor anymore for a few days. I could hardly move for about 5 days.

That's a good reason to move south. wink
