Richie, they cancelled our league last night. I could give you Wednesday night's scores, no makeup this week. Didn't find out until just as we were getting ready to leave.

I missed bowling a couple weeks back and never got around to posting about last week. This is the full break down of last week. Long story short, a 554 series with games of 202, 157 and 195. When you have more opens than spares and only two of those opens are splits scores will suffer. As a team we only took 2 of 7 points.

This week was a 590 series. Here, is all the gory details. While still not average at least a little more consistent than last week with games of 195, 211 and 184. I had 5 opens, one was a split, two were 10 pins of which I left eight times tonight and a couple of multi-pin clusters. As a team we swept all 7 points again, making 3 out of the first 4 weeks of this half we swept.

235+213+265=713 tonight. League got cancelled last week so glad to get back into it. Strikes came in bunches, had 22 overall. Did also manage to have 30 clean which I'm happy about, especially since I left a few challenging multi-pin combos (3,6,9 where the 6 pin was pushed off-spot and a 3,5,6,10 on a light hit in the 3rd game after starting with the front 5). Also managed to make all three of my 7 pins shooting at them from the left side of the lane since I have trouble with the approaches being too slippery on the middle and right side at this house.

Tonight's bowling, frame-by-frame (Linked to BowlSK sheet)

I just couldn't get out of my own way tonight. I left what seemed like a whole game's worth of splits, and, when you're doing that, there's not much you can say except that it's not your night.

Result: 149-150-167=466
Average (63 games): 166
Average for last 9 games: 170
Next week's AVG+1 score: 517

Fortunately, my bad night didn't hurt my team, as Donald chipped in a 140 second game, and Barry was steady all night; team won all four.

Thanks Richie and congrats to you on your bracket sweep last week. Fortunately bowling in two houses where it's been pretty easy for me to score. Next goal is to find a way to score on your house's shot and on sport patterns. Getting there though.

Well I got back into the 600s tonight with a 613. My roller coaster of a night on the lanes. First game was a 180, with 3 opens including both the ninth and tenth frames. Just inconsistent in Execution. The second game I pulled things together for a 243. I was all 9-spare and strikes for the first 11 shots, and the twelfth shot slipped off my hand early for a nasty 5 count. The last game I started having some Execution issues again for a 190 with 2 opens both splits. As a team we swept all 7 points for the fourth time in the last 5 weeks, basically since the second half started and was sitting in second, 3 points behind the first place team.

Sat night was another great night. 279-247-238 for a 764 set. Back to back 760+ set and clean sets on saturday nights. Sinister is working great. And if bowling is all about fun then saturdays is the best night. That is the night when I bowl with Joe Bowler, we have a new teammate that is dependable and fun. I run around running brackets. 645, 705, 722, 696, 762, and 764 are my sets since the beginning of the new year.

Great stuff Vampyre. Looks like you and Joe are putting on a clinic for the bowlsaturdaynight.com crowd. Just hope they're paying attention.

Had a great night myself, 224+269+267=760. First game started with a strike and then went stone 9, whiff for my only open of the night. Just fell right off my hand, blech. Rebounded though and clean the rest of the game with a 4-bagger to end it for the 224. Was actually double dribbling for the first half of game 1 but corrected it with a faster 2nd step and did not have that problem for the rest of the night.

Second game had had 9/,X,X,9/, sheet. Actually found better success in this game moving in a little bit and circling it more. Third game was almost identical with 8/,X,X,7-bagger, 8 but had to change my line again and move back to the straighter shot from outside. Nice that I can score with both options. Used my Challenge all 3 games. Getting great results out of a ball that I paid $70 for including drilling.

Third personal best series in the span of a little over a month. Still have a lot of things I'd like to improve on in this game but it's nice to know that I'm capable of hanging with the top level bowlers on a league night.

Tonight's bowling, frame-by-frame (Linked to BowlSK sheet)

Tonight for me could be called A Tale of Two Games: As well as I bowled in the first game to get my 212, I may have bowled worse in the third game, a 109 with only two marks and no marks after the third frame. Seven splits was most of my problem, but everything just seemed "off" after the first game.

Result: 212-159-109=480
Average (66 games): 166
Average for last 9 games: 168
Next week's AVG+1 score: 538

Barry matched my bad third game with a bad game of his own, and we ended up splitting 2-2 after winning the first two games.
