I just took my Crux off the shelf for tonight.

Cracked from the weight hole to the finger hole.

Nope, the most time my balls spend outside is from the car to the lanes. I only used the Crux on Wednesday nights. I clean it up, put it on the shelf inside the house for the next week.

Just one of those things.

Unfortunate that this happened to you Steve. I hope you'll be able to get the ball replaced. Should still be under warranty and both Storm and Buddies have a strong reputation for good customer satisfaction.

I'm sure it'll work out. Don't know how many do this, but hearing about it much means not many crack. You make that many balls and something will turn up bad.

this may or may not be helpful, but, the old balls I have are for the most part used for lawn ornaments. the weather in cent florida is great, but, can get into 30s at nite. over the 2 years of these balls sitting in the yard, the Storm and Hammer balls were the only ones to crack. not all of them cracked but those were the only 2 mfrs that had some balls that cracked.

I suppose I could use this if I get the balls this happened to and find out what kind of pours were done (core types) just to see if certain balls that cracked have similar core types or shell thicknesses.

I know the Crux shell or cover is thinner than my Hy Road Pearl, to the extent that I need smaller fingertips in the Crux. I also had a Roto Grip Distrubed and Storm Lucid, plus an RG Wrecker and now 4 Storm Bytes, all good so far.

My Crux I received in mid October when they first came out. My theory is that if a ball will crack, it will do so sooner than later? Could be a bad batch, or just the odd ball wink

Glad it worked out. My teammate in my Tuesday league just got a Crux drilled up himself. Looking forward to seeing him throw it. He's an older guy with low revs and low ball speed so hoping it will allow him to open up the lane.
