your videos are marked as private so we can't see them. You need to make them public.

Your friend looks VERY stiff.

Bowling should be relaxed. He has his balance arm out stiff the whole time - watch the pros and their balance arm starts out in front, then swings to the side to counter-balance the force of the ball swing.

It also shows in his ball-swing itself. You can see definition in his arm, showing he's clutching the ball and holding it. His swing isn't flat (i.e. in a single plane) but pushes right, then swings left in his backswing, then he has to pull it out to clear his body.

I don't know where to start to loosen him up - I'll leave that to the actual coaches.

Make sure his foot tempo is slow on steps 1 and 2.

Today's game is all about keeping your head over the ball during the entire approach. We teach to drop your damn shoulder!

Back view - think left eye over center of ball during the swing and release.

Bottom left pic- keep elbow up relax and bent. Wrist is broken back (Red oval).
bottom right pic- hand is on top of the ball.
start with this drill

then go to this drill

Side view- we are going to move forward so lets lean forward at the start.

Top right pic - lean forward and keep the balance arm going towards your target.

Bottom left- Keep the balance arm going towards your target and try to have a straight wrist at the top of the swing.

Bottom middle pic - The ball has started to drop before the knees has come together.

Look at Fagan's balance arm.

Google search drop your damn shoulder to find more .
