My 2 piece L/M Terminator Resurrection did this at the thumb also. The shell of the TR is definitely softer than all the others. I can scratch the surface of it with my thumb nail. Curious Joe if your Advantage is a softer shell also since it was easy to drill.

Wondering… my ExtremeDamage did that. But, I thought it was because to the interchangeable thumbs.

but, I went to the Tri-grip which plugged the hole and cracks, and moved the thumb 3/4 left, which also covered the cracks. Have just thumb insert now and another 100 games since. No cracks now.

Could it be from a rattling of the interchangeable thumb. I always thought so.

Lane Masters did the right thing and replaced my Advantage at no cost. They included a prepaid shipping label to return the cracked ball. That says a lot about the company. If I was not planning to bowl more PBA events, I would have drilled up the new ball for myself.

Good to hear Joe especially since I just got another L/M ball. Its a shame you cannot use it in the PBA. The high registration fees the PBA charges is beyond what the smaller companies are probably willing to pay. I heard it is extremely high.

Glad to see you back on, Joe. You've been missed.

boss, you raise a question that we have been mulling over at the lanes.

The consensus here is Brunswick, in its new organization, will not support the PBA as it exists. That may be the nail in the coffin.

And, whoever buys the Brunswick, DV8, and Radical ball lines will have to think long and hard to pay PBA juice.

Ball companies have to pay just $200,000 just to become product registered with the PBA. There's also the cost of signing pros in order to get your equipment showcased on television. That makes it really tough for Lane Masters, Lord Field, and the other small companies. Not sure that Brunswick can really afford not to be product registered with the new ownership however. They have a lot of visibility on the PBA tour and I'm seeing more and more guys in my league throwing Brunswick stuff. Hard to think that Brunswick would be as popular as it is without being on the tour.

Another interesting thing is that Radical is actually not owned by Brunswick. It's licensed to Brunswick but Phil Cardinale owns it. Because of the licensing agreement Radical balls can be thrown on the PBA. They only have 1 pro right now however (Tom Hess), so the chances of seeing Radical on TV are very slim. If Radical had to pay the fee on their own they would be in the same boat as Lane Masters.
