Joe, I'm game but lets make it a buck a night for set and 5 for avg at the end of the year.

Last night was even worse subbing for my old team on wednesday nights:
265 (Front 6, 6-7-10 split, back 5)
159 (split, strike, spare, split, split, split) to start that game) No oil to be found on my ball from that point on
179 last game.

Started the night throw my Gladiator Pearl with my feet at about 8 boards left of center and was there all the first game. By the end of the second game i had moved an additonal 14 boards left and still had issues keeping right of the head pin and then tha tis wehn the 10 pin started killing me...missed 2 of them the last game. Plus was still high man on the pair with my 603 set

Okay, I'm in if that motivates you to bowl your best. Besides, I don't think anybody is running a high game pot this year.

That definitely can be a good line to play if shot is right. Did that myself tonight and shot 243+203+259=708. Stayed out there with my Misfit and got fantastic carry pretty much all night. My only real miscue was in the 2nd game when I hit my leg with the ball and left a washout, my only open of the night. Started the 3rd game with the front 5 and left only two single pins in the 6th and 8th respectively.

This for me was actually the last night of summer league but I'm considering it "fall preseason" so I'm posting it here. The other Thursday league started their season tonight so the house put down the fall shot. Pretty sure it's Kegel Main Street which was much more forgiving than the Wall Street pattern they put down for most of the summer. Our house also got a brand new Kegel Flex oiling machine which seemed to help hold the shot up longer as well.

I start my first fall league on Tuesday. Going to be bowling that one out of a different house and will bowl in my regular home house on Thursday nights starting in two weeks. Goals are to average 210+ and shoot a 300 game. My results tonight make me feel very confident that I can achieve these goals.

Wronghander good series. I play around the first arrow more often than not especially with my 15lb equipment.

Had second night of league tonight. 1st night was 244, 192, 222, 190 for an 848 series, tonight I went 210, 224, 226, 225 for 885 total. Kind of grinding it out so far, trying to make a lot of changes to my game so if I can continue to help my team and not lose too much ground, I'll take it!

I'll even provide updates as i lose the $1.

Saturday was a good night. As a team we took 5 out of 7. I went 682 for my set. Our number 3 bowler shot back to back 200's for the first time ever, according to him. Joe struggled some but I don't think it's his fault. Don't think he has much equipment designed to bowl in the Sahara desert. But he was consistant in his scores, like he normally is.

You bowled great, and certainly earned your $1, considering the desert conditions. Three 190 games was the best I could do with my plastic spare ball. But, not for the usually reasons, like leaving weak corner pins. The plastic ball was actually hitting too hard and I left three 9 pins (lefty) in one game. Unfortunately, I rolled past a couple spares since there was no hold in the middle, then I missed on the other side over adjusting.

Our number 3 bowler throws a spinner, and the lanes were so dry his ball was hooking more than I have ever seen it. Besides back-to-back 200 games, it was his first ever 600 series, too. So, as a team, I guess the super dry lanes helped.

My plan for next week is to bring my Pitch Black at 4000/dull, Natural Pearl at 4000/polished, and Uproar at 4000/polished with a slip agent, along with my plastic spare ball. No sense bringing anything stronger than that. Next week, we start the VL, so I will be posting my scores there, and need to do better than 190's, especially coming in at 230.

Thought I was going to start league bowling tonight but they had all of 3 teams signed up. The secretary is going to make some phone calls to some teams that were turned away from the Thursday league and the hope is to start next week. I'm not too thrilled about bowling in such a small league, but this was really the only way my PBAX teammate and I could bowl together this fall.

Ended up practicing 3 games with my teammate and I found the line in the last game and shot 236. First arrow appears to be the shot here as well, but had to keep my speed up to avoid early hook. Looks like my Misfit is going to get a lot of games on it this season, may have to look into another higher RG ball for the outside line at some point.
