Not sure if anyone has seen this yet. A sample was just posted to YouTube.

I was not intrigued at the beginning but did manage to watch the entire match (had to block out the 14 yr old's antics; they could have chosen someone better to represent a new concept in bowling). By the end, I was entertained and even though it is incredibly hard for new bowling forms to get traction, I am certain I'll at least give this a shot once with a buddy to see how I enjoy actually bowling this format. If you have a center with 'unlimited bowling' times, it would be easy to play. You wouldn't need any different scoring in terms of pinsetter operation. You'd just have to keep score on your own.

Here is the link:

i tried it today with my bud and won in 8 shots. then the app froze up on the last shot and we couldn't enter the last shots thrown.

Also, it didnt report the score to the main database wherever that is. after that we didnt try it again. i would like to make some suggestions to the authors of the app. recovery would be nice in the case where the app locks up. probably the android os. there's no way to re-enter the scores if this happens. it would be nice to see a recap of shots in the order they were bowled to see the frame-by-frame view of what happened. last, it would be nice to see your games in a view of others games/matches completed.

i have another idea that involves drawing cards then you have various shots you have to make based on the cards. you get points for a winning hand and points for making the shots you draw. i'll outline it and the rules on another post.

Best of 3, or first to 3 (best of 5)? Sounds like it would need to be best of 5 in order to make $2k possible.

And the winner is (not sure about the $$$)...

In Jason Belmonte's words:
"One for the ages.
The @x_games_bowling match against the lethal lefty @GeorgeFrilingos has ended in a thriller. Coming back from 2 sets down. George rallied back to win the match.
The format forces you to make shot after shot and take advantages of the opportunities when they present themselves. I missed a few chances and had a couple unfortunate breaks and was unable to stay alive.
Congrats to George and thanks to a really vocal and committed crowd who turned up!
Was a bunch of fun.....well except the part where I lost"

Congrats to the lefty stroker, George Frilingos. He is not as well known here as Belmo. But, he is one of Australia's top bowlers, some say #1. In fact, it was one of George's posts in another forum that got me started on pattern carving. Way to go, George! Below is a highlights video from the match.
