That's pretty good advice. Thanks, I'll focus on the target and stay awhile. smile

Thank you! I won't disagree with all of what you said. I am just looking to see if there is a way to continue doing what I do and be consistent. If my game gets worse, I will change up the way I bowl and try something new. Because it's not fun at that point. But, if I get better doing it this way, I want to be consistent. If that is possible, and you say it is. Maybe I'll figure out a pattern, and muscle memory. I do think I have control and use SOME muscle in my release, even if it looks as though it's just falling out of my hands, but I instantly know when I'm going to throw a bad ball or a gutter, and I feel like I adjust to my cradle, walk, swing and form afterwords. Ah, stubbornness is a disease. smile thanks for your reply.

If you enjoy the way you play, I would suggest one thing - a second finger hole - you can pull your finger back out. . . but set up with both fingers in, then remove the one.

what does this do? It lines the ball up in your hand to a more consistent and exact position. You can keep bowling with one finger, but your START will be pretty danged close to the same spot.

That make sense?

Most general advice can be applied to your game. (Consistent setup, timing, posting shot, etc.)

One thing to play with is getting more knee continuation and sliding into the line. Do this to help get rid of so much loft on the ball, lofting makes it much harder to be consistent since the ball will need to land on the same spot each time, the ball can bounce and then hydroplane.

Yes sir! Funny thing, I line the dot (unsure or technical term) that marks the center core (???) up on both bowling balls with the palm of my hand prior to inserting my finger. I always knew my OCD would pay off somewhere.

but unless your palm is 1/4" wide, you have a lot of variability there. . .
