What would you call a guy like this??? Vito of course. He's only about 20 years old and bowls with both hands well. He doesn't really care about bowling i think, but, i'm sure you'll agree he's got the most power and leverage in a bowler you have seen.

Rev rate is about 550-600 and speed 20mph. Has several 300s and 800 sets. If he ever took bowling serious it could scare you off the lanes. If he touches the pocket he carries. Add the fact he's left handed (primarily) and it's a lethal combination!

I took two vids just so i could get his backswing in the frame. If the score screens were any closer to the foul line, he would hit them with his ball!

Enjoy!

He throws it well, but I can't really say anyone would scare me off the lanes.

Hi RayRay;
Vito is quite impressive. I can get the ball up that high on my backswing but when I do so it destroys my timing.

With a backswing that high, I would likely drive a 16 pound ball into the approach behind me rather than down the lane, hehe. However, I have seen a local PBA regional bowler (righty) do very well with a similar, vertical backswing. He is a monster at the one house he frequents.

Just a little entertainment guys.... dont take me too seriously. He is a monster tho. I wish he would take the game seriously. I dont think he bowls for anything but fun. there are a lot of guys like that. nice guy and like i said.. only about 20 years old. I'll bowl anybody. my 270s are just as good as anyone else who throws it 30 mph and has 1000 revs.

bowl good guys!

I wish the PBA had more to offer young guys like Vito. Then, there would be a reason for him to take bowling more seriously. In the meantime, it's good that he enjoys bowling for fun...and scaring some bowlers (not the guys here) off the lanes. wink

Yea, kinda hard to tell them to go that route when the top few players make less that a lot of amateur players plus many of them are scrounging around in off season doing lessons for 45.00. For myself, i like the challenge of big amateur tournaments. you never know what is waiting out there and the prize money is good and deep. You get re-entries and can really make it worth the trip most of the time and have a nice little vacation attached to it as well.

If they're ever successful in getting bowling into the Olympics, all of that might change. Years ago, golf was pretty lame for money as well.

We have a couple of really big guys in league, one is HUGE. 16 pound ball, 22 mph or more if needed. When he hits the pins you think they'd just break.

My Thursday league has a lot of good bowlers some are power players. Seems like every week someone is shooting an honor score. My high season series there is 744 and Iím not even close to being on the map. Iím at a point where high scores on walled-up house conditions donít impress me anymore. The only thing that will scare me off the lanes is my own bad performanceÖlol
