Any suggestions about anything are welcome. One thing I've already noticed that I'm planning to work on is that I move the ball up when I push it away, and I think it's having a negative effect on my timing.

On the part where I have a side and rear view together, these are two separate approaches. I was just messing around with a new program and figured I'd put them together. If I can find a second tripod I'm going to re-film with both running together concurrently. I know that I release the ball quicker in the side view and I think my timing is better in that video, but I'm not certain.

On the release video I tried to get it to show a full speed release followed by two slower ones. Watching it now it looks like the "real-time" release is actually a little faster than real-time but I'm not totally sure.

I'd particularly like any comments on my release, as that's the part of my game I feel I know the least about. Also, I did some calculations from this video so I can make an informed decision about new equipment. I figured my ball speed off my hand was about 18 mph, revs were around 300, axis rotation was about 50 degrees, and I'm not sure about axis tilt.

I measured my PAP at 5 1/2 over and 1 up, but I'm not certain I did it entirely correctly.

Thanks!

If I could give you two things to concentrate that should get you started and once those feel more comfortable you can continue to add something else to think about.

First, notice the timing of when the ball starts moving forward in your approach. It should move at the same time as your right foot, almost like there is a metal pole going from your toes through your hand and into the ball. Because your foot, hand, and ball are all tied together they all most move together. Right now the movement is a pinch late.

Second, notice the movement of the ball in that same step (your pushaway) is going out and up instead of out and begins to go down into the swing. For this, imagine the ball is at the top of a Ferris wheel. If it is already at the top it can't go up any higher, it must go out and then start to "roll" down into the swing.

Here is a video of my approach for comparison, focus on that first right foot step and the movement of the ball in that step.

1)Your upward pushaway if done correctly is OK.Here is your pushaway/side view.

And Mike Fagan's , his pushaway goes upwards too just not as high.

At the end of Fagan's 2nd step the ball is below his belt line and yours is face high. The short 2nd step doesn't help either.Your 3 step ball placement should be where the ball is at the end of your 2nd step.

2)During the release zone you stand up ,stay low it help to stay under the ball better.

3) At the release point the ball is not directly under your head and your hand is on the top/side of the ball.

A closer look at the release shows your wrist is broken going into the release zone then straightens out as the thumb comes out. High revs players/pros do the opposite.

Everything can be seen here.
