I'm new to the board but looking for some input after doing a bit of reasearch online.

I've been bowling for a few years now using a conventional grip with an average around 164, high game of 222. I feel like I'm limited in my ability to score using the conventional grip but due to a fused knuckle in my ring finger full finger tip is not an option. Came across the sarge easter grip after some research online but curious if it would be worth a try or not. Have briefly experimented with the thumbless approach for more revs but that approach just seems wildly inconsistent.

I'm going to call around to some local shops to see if anyone has experience drilling the sarge easter grip, but looking for some opinions first. Like I said, full fingertip is NOT an option, but any opinions or suggestions would be welcome.

This may be the best reason I have ever heard for trying a sarge Easter grip.

heck, as close as you can come to a fingertip would give you more leverage. I'd give that a shot. . .

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Just not a lot of information online so hopefully I can find a Pro Shop nearby that's familiar with the grip.

Bruns nick has a good article on it. It talks about how to drill it and the pitches that go along with it. Fagan has a good story about it on his blog site as well.

Well I went today and had a ball drilled up with the sarge easter grip. Was surprised that it didn't feel too much different from my conventional grip, but having one finger drilled fingertip is a little different. Definitely noticed a little more reaction down the lane, so I'm very excited to see how it goes as I get comfortable with the grip. Thanks for the help.
