I found a video from a couple years ago. It was shot during a Storm Demo Day. It's only side view, with a link to some still photos. Can I post the link, without violating any forum rules?

I had one done last year- if I can find it, I'll post it here, too. Pretty cool for just taping one shot.

This is from a couple years ago. My wrist was in rough shape, so I was forced to wear a Pro Release. My buddies all started calling me Hellboy (Big Red Hand). I'm gonna try and get some newer video up, next week. All comments welcome. Storm See Your Game

See if you can post your shot instead of going up on one leg, it will help with leverage, balance, and make your more consistent.

Overall looks pretty good.

Thanks man. When I was younger, I used to always try and stretch my trail leg, as far left as I could. I have no clue when the horse kick undecided showed up.

Matt it looks like you have a solid game.If you would make your 3rd step longer you would be in the "pro zone". The pro zone is when you have 2 more steps to take in your approach the ball is past your ball side leg.

Most pros their next to last step is short and fast. Most amateurs is the opposite, like yours its maybe the longest of the steps. Take a look at all the Storm pros next to last step.

This also put you in the late timing category as from the book The Game Changer from Mark Baker. See the spot when the slide foot actually catches the weight of the bowler, then the swing should be flat, or parallel.

This will help with you staying down after the release.

Thanks coach. I did take notice to my early "short/quick step", compared to the pros. It sounds simple, just take a bigger 3rd step, and shorten the 4th step. However, bowling for so long, muscle memory can be tough to change. Any tip/tricks, to help the transition?

I never felt my timing was late, but with your visual comparison, it's plain as day. Sometimes, I get into a funk where I seem to tug/pull the ball, a lot. I'm guessing that's a by product of the late timing. I've set up a video lesson, for Tuesday. It will be interesting to compare the two videos. I will post the new vids, asap. Thanks again.

On your 3rd step act like your playing kickball and your kicking the ball as you take your 3rd step.Don't try kicking the ball out of the play ground just a nice little kick. This will make your next step shorter automatically.
Good luck

My video lesson was canceled. The coach had jury duty, it was suppose to be one day, but it may end up being three weeks. What a bummer.

Appreciate the tip. I've been bowling well, so I may wait until summer, before attempting to make the transition. I did catch a case of the "tugs" during the 3rd game, lastnight in league. It's annoying, because it always comes in spurts. It's usually 3-4 frames in a row.
