Hey all,

Just wanted to let you know I drilled the IQ Tour Pearl up yesterday, working on the review today and will have it done this week (Hopefully).

Stay tuned for the review, it will be up on my youtube channel (sk8shorty01).

I can't wait to hear what you have to say about it. A guy at league had 2 of them last night (he has a contract with Storm too).

Could you give more information about how this contract with the companies work?
I like your reviews and always watch them. But how they select you?

They select staff members based on your influence over the community, bowling ability, coaching ability, personality, etc.

Every year staff applications must be submitted by Nov. 1st to be considered for the next calendar year (Jan 1). As we get further into the new year a staff application FAQ will be available on the Storm website with all of the information that they require in order to be considered.

For reference, a few of the things required:

-Bowling video to showcase bowling ability
-Bowling resume
-Letter of recommendation
-Profile Picture (head shot)

Hope this helps!

This is one of the balls I'm considering for my new strong pearl, so I'm anxious to see your review, sk8. laugh

I don't really base purchase decisions on video reviews, but occasionally I'll eliminate a ball or two from my radar based on what I see in some reviews. This one may be one of those that I wait a little longer to make up my mind. I'd end up scuffing the surface with a 4000 pad to reduce the over/under that I think I'd see with this ball. I'm about to order the solid IQ Tour, which comes with a 4000 finish, anyway, so I think I'll get more use out of that ball. I'm always looking at reviews, though, so if someone isn't hooking this ball from 20 to the twig and back on a 38' THS, I'm all ears (and eyes).

This ball is completely different from the Marvel Pearl.

To simplify it as much as I can, the Marvel Pearl's coverstock was much more aggressive than the IQ Tour Pearl, therefore the Marvel Pearl read earlier and had more mid lane movement than this does. Because of this the Marvel Pearl, at times would read the lane to early and lose some of that back end pop.

hey Sk8 - when are you releasing the vid/review? My wife gave me the IQTPearl for Christmas and I want to know how good of a benchmark ball it is. . . that's really what I'm looking for. I'll build from there. . .

And I enjoy your reviews more than most others. . .

Cheers and Merry Christmas!
